Shenxiao Shoubawang (Divine Efficacy Hand-Held Pill) (from *Shenghui Fang*), used to treat Ghost Malaria.
Ingredients: Macaque skull bone (*Simia cranius ossum*), tiger head bone (*Tigris ossum capitis*), cat head bone (*Felis ossum capitis*), Realgar (*Arsenicum sulfidatum* - finely ground), Dichroa root (*Dichroae Radix* - chopped), Cinnabar (*Cinnabaris* - finely ground), Frankincense (*Boswelliae Resina* - finely ground), Musk (*Moschus* - refined).
Preparation and Administration: Mix with refined honey to form pills.
Shenxiao Fang for Treating Ghost Malaria (from *Shenghui Fang*).

Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients into a fine powder and mix uniformly. Form pills using steamed bread dough, sized like Sophora seeds. Administer before the onset of symptoms. For males, insufflate into the left nostril; for females, into the right nostril.
Nayao Bili Lizhao Fang (Pill Insufflation Nasal Immediate Efficacy Formula) for Treating Ghost Malaria (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Ingredients: Human skull cap (*Cranii humani calvaria*), Macaque skull bone (*Simia cranius ossum*), Chouhuang (*Chouhuang* - finely ground), Asafoetida (*Ferulae Resina*), Frankincense (*Boswelliae Resina*), Rhizoma Veratri (*Veratri Rhizoma* - remove rhizome base), Red lead (*Lithargyrum*, each 7 qian), Musk (*Moschus*, 1 qian).

Administration: Take before symptom onset, swallowing with newly drawn well water.
Wan'an Wan (Ten Thousand Peace Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), used to treat Ghost Malaria.
Ingredients: Tiger head bone (*Tigris ossum capitis* - wine-roasted, 3 liang), Rhizoma Veratri (*Veratri Rhizoma*, 6 liang), Orpiment (*Realgar* - ground), White peony root (*Podophylli Peltati Rhizoma et Radix*), Aconitum lateral root (*Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata* - roasted, cracked, peeled), Cowpea (*Vigna angularis* - stir-fried), Gleditsia sinensis pod (*Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus* - roasted with butter, peel and remove seeds, each 1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Except for Orpiment, grind other ingredients into fine powder. Add ground Orpiment and mix uniformly. Form pills with refined honey, size of a marble. Have the patient wear one pill on their head for immediate cure. To dispel latent corpses in the house, burn four pills at each of the four corners. To dispel epidemic qi before the bed, burn one pill. When crossing rivers or seas, males carry one on the left arm, females on the right arm, to prevent drowning.
Biujiao Wan (White Peony Root Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), used to treat Ghost Malaria.
Ingredients: White peony root (*Podophylli Peltati Rhizoma et Radix*), Dichroa root (*Dichroae Radix*), Licorice root (*Glycyrrhizae Radix* - roasted and chopped), Mung bean powder (*Phaseoli Radiati Semen pulvis*, each 1 liang), Realgar (*Arsenicum sulfidatum* - raw, 0.5 liang), Turtle plastron (*Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum* - vinegar-roasted, remove skirt edges, 3 fen), Orpiment (*Realgar*).

Ingredients: Wild cat liver (*Felis silvestris catus hepar*, one piece, placed in a porcelain bottle, soaked in hot pig blood, sealed, hung aside; use liver after blood dries), Macaque skull bone (*Simia cranius ossum*), Dog head bone (*Canis ossum capitis*), Tiger head bone (*Tigris ossum capitis*).
Administration: Form pills size of Sophora seeds. For males, insufflate into left nostril; for females, right nostril.
Jingxiao Nuedan (Effective Malaria Pill, also known as Shenxiao Nuedan, from *San Yin Fang*), highly effective for Ghost Malaria.
Ingredients: True Asafoetida (*Ferulae Resina*, 0.5 liang), Peach branch (*Persicae Ramulus*), Willow branch (*Salicis Ramulus*, each 1 chi 7 cun long), Orpiment (*Realgar*, transparent high quality, 0.5 liang, separately ground), Chen Sha (Cinnabar, 1 qian, separately ground, reserve part for later use).
Preparation and Administration: Form pills using thin flour paste. Take on an empty stomach with cooled decoction of Ginseng root (*Panacis Ginseng Radix*). For Miasma Malaria (*Zhang Nue*), take with cooled decoction of Peach branch. Before onset, grind one pill and apply to the tip of the nose and around the mouth.
awei Wan (Asafoetida Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), used to treat Ghost Malaria.
Ingredients: Asafoetida (*Ferulae Resina* - ground), Realgar (*Arsenicum sulfidatum* - ground), Cinnabar (*Cinnabaris* - ground, each size of Gleditsia seed), Ash of paper drawing Zhong Kui (*Zhongkui Hua Zhi Hui*, 3 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into fine powder. Form pills using Han Shi Mian (Cold Food flour) paste.
Dansha Wan (Cinnabar Pill) (from *Shengji Zonglu*), used to treat Ghost Malaria.

Treating Ghost Malaria with unpredictable progression (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Administration: Take one macaque skull bone, burn to ash, take 1 qian with warm wine on an empty stomach. Take another dose just before onset.
Treating Cold-Heat Ghost Malaria, onset irregular.
Administration: Burn raccoon dog feces to ash, take with water using a square-inch measure. If unavailable, domestic cat feces are also acceptable.

Administration: Take a handful of peach hearts, pound and squeeze to extract juice. Divide into two doses. On the morning of the onset day, take with half a cup of well water. Take again just before onset.
