Lao Nue (Chronic Malaria with Deficiency) refers to a condition where chronic malaria fails to resolve, leading to deficiency of both Qi and Blood. Although the illness has intermittent periods, it recurs upon exertion; hence it is called Lao Nue. The pathogenic factors deepen daily, while the True Qi (Zhen Qi) becomes increasingly depleted.
