消痈肿。散水气。杀邪毒。理诸药消毒。治产后血晕。除症块坚积。
消食。杀恶毒。破结气心中酸水痰饮。下气除烦。治妇人心痛血气。并产后及伤损金疮出血
昏晕。杀一切鱼肉菜毒。醋磨青木香。止卒心痛血气痛。浸黄柏含之治口疮。调大黄末涂肿
毒。煎生大黄服治 癖甚良。散瘀血。治黄胆黄汗。产妇房中常以火炭沃醋气为佳。酸益血
也。大抵醋治诸疮肿积块。心腹疼痛。痰水血病。杀鱼肉菜及诸虫毒瓦斯。无非取其酸收之义
。而又有散瘀解毒之功也。

诸痛。治惊痫。除疟痢。消积化痰。疗疳杀虫。治血痹血眼诸症皆属肝经也。失笑散不独治
妇人心痛血痛。凡男女老幼一切心腹胁肋少腹痛疝气。并胎前产后血气作痛。及血崩经溢。
百药不效者。俱能奏功。屡用屡验。真近世神方也。

Eliminates carbuncles and swellings. Disperses fluid retention. Kills pathogenic toxins. Regulates various herbs to enhance detoxification. Treats postpartum syncope due to blood loss. Resolves masses and hard accumulations.
Aids digestion. Kills severe toxins. Breaks up stagnant Qi, acid regurgitation from the heart, phlegm-fluids. Directs Qi downward and relieves irritability. Treats women's heart pain and blood-Qi disorders. Also treats bleeding, syncope caused by postpartum conditions or traumatic injuries (metal wounds). Kills all toxins found in fish, meat, and vegetables. Grinding Qingmuxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) with vinegar stops sudden heart pain and blood-Qi pain. Soaking Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) and holding it in the mouth treats mouth ulcers. Mixing Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) powder and applying it externally treats swellings and toxic sores. Decocting raw Dahuang internally is very effective for treating pi-accumulation (masses in the hypochondrium/abdomen). Disperses blood stasis. Treats jaundice and yellow sweat. For parturient women, it is excellent to frequently use hot charcoal to vaporize vinegar in the birthing room, as the sour flavor benefits the blood.
