It pairs best with citrus fruits, assisted by ginger and jujube, and supplemented by Puerariae Radix (Gegen), Amomi Fructus Rotundus (Suosha), Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus (Yizhi), and Cardamomi Fructus (Doukou). It circulates through the Yangming Meridian, acting above the chest and diaphragm, and between the throat and esophagus, making it an essential herb for regulating Qi. The *Lankavatara Sutra* states that applying white sandalwood to the body removes all heat and distress. Therefore, people in the southwestern regions use various fragrances on their bodies, deriving meaning from this. In the Sui Dynasty, Chan Master Shou possessed exquisite medical skills and created "Five Fragrance Drinks" to help others, including Agarwood Drink, Sandalwood Drink, Clove Drink, Eupatorium Drink, and Nardostachys Drink. All take fragrance as the main ingredient, adding other herbs, possessing flavor, quenching thirst, and tonifying the body. Daoist texts refer to sandalwood as "bath fragrance," stating it should not be burned for offering to supreme deities.
