(Shrimp) Sweet in taste, warm in nature. Enters the Taiyin, Shaoyin, and Jueyin meridians of both the hand and foot. Its efficacy is specialized in supporting the eruption of smallpox/variolous sores, promoting lactation, and inducing vomiting to expel wind-phlegm. For stroke syndromes, take half a jin (approx. 500g) of shrimp, boil with scallions, ginger, soy sauce, and other seasonings in water. Consume the shrimp first, then drink the broth. Use a goose feather to stimulate the throat to induce vomiting; once phlegm and saliva are expelled, recovery occurs. It can strengthen the yang pathway but may stir up wind and trigger choking coughs.

Dry the liver in the shade, grind into powder, and take two qian (approx. 6-7g) with water, three times daily; this is highly effective for Shi Zhu (corpse transmission disease). The meat treats bone-steaming consumption fever and stagnant blood vessels. Excessive consumption depletes Yang Qi.
Salty in taste, hot in nature. Enters the Shaoyin and Jueyin meridians of the foot. Its efficacy is specialized in treating impotence and cold sperm, ghostly intercourse, and Shi Zhu. It is contraindicated for those with excessive sexual arousal, bone-steaming consumption, and dry cough. Preserving it with Sichuan pepper (Han Jiao) and borneol prevents spoilage. Brewing it with glutinous rice and flour into wine treats deficiency and wasting conditions. Also known as Tan'na Qi (Sea Dog Kidney).
Sweet in taste, warm in nature, and toxic. Enters the Jueyin meridian of the foot. Its efficacy is specialized in removing dampness, especially for liver-related issues.
