When decocted with Aconite Root (Fuzi) into a paste and formed into pills, it treats deficiency-cold syndromes, named "Quefu Wan" (Sparrow-Aconite Pill). It is strictly contraindicated for those with yin deficiency and hyperactive fire, as well as those taking Atractylodes Rhizome (Baizhu) and Li Bing. Pregnant women must especially avoid it. Taken together with Heaven-Male Root (Tianxiong), they prevent penile atrophy.
(Dove meat) Salty in flavor, neutral in nature. Enters the Hand-Taiyang (Small Intestine) and Foot-Taiyang (Bladder) meridians. Its function is specifically to resolve various drug toxicities. It treats malignant sores, wind-xuan (wind-induced skin eruptions), vitiligo, and ulcerative wind diseases. Only white doves are used in medicine. Dove eggs resolve sores and smallpox toxins. Doves' feces are named "Zuo Panlong" (Left Coiling Dragon); they eliminate abdominal masses, scrofula, and various sores. They treat tetanus and critical cases of yin-toxin. For scabies in humans and horses, it is fried, ground, and applied externally. Donkeys and horses fed grass mixed with dove feces experience reduced swelling and insect elimination. Doves' feces ground into powder and applied externally treat head sores and tinea capitis (white baldness); the area should first be washed with vinegar water.
(Chicken meat) Sweet in flavor, warm in nature. Enters the Hand-Taiyin (Lung), Foot-Taiyin (Spleen), Hand-Yangming (Large Intestine), and Foot-Yangming (Stomach) meridians. Its function is specifically to tonify deficiency and warm the middle jiao. Chicken gizzard lining, also known as "Ji Neijin" (Chicken Inner Gold) or [missing character], is sweet in flavor, neutral in nature, and astringent. It is the spleen/stomach of the chicken.
