Huangshukui Hua (Seven flowers, dried) Huangbai (Half liang, thick pieces, remove coarse bark) Huanglian (Remove roots/stems, two qian) Shanzhizi (Three fruits).
The above ingredients are ground into fine powder. Each time, take about five qian of the powder, add one qian of Baiji powder, mix evenly, and mix with well water (Jinghua Shui). If the swelling has not yet formed a head (pus point), use a comb-like tool to apply the medicine to the swollen area, cover it with thin Lian paper; when the swelling subsides, the paper falls off. If it does not subside, apply medicine again. If there is already a head, apply medicine with a paper strip, widening the surrounding area initially, then gradually narrowing it, so that the toxic qi does not invade outward. When the flesh is about to ulcerate, use another medicine to cauterize the head, also surrounding it with medicine strips. After extracting all pus, mix with true sesame oil, without adding Baiji, and sweep the wound with a chicken feather. If the wound is large, add Baiji, additionally take one qian of Taonuo (Correctly named Taoxiao, which refers to peach fruits that remain attached to the branch, do not fall, and do not wither through winter. Harvested in the first lunar month.). Mix with sesame oil, cut fresh ripe green silk according to the size of the wound, dip in medicine morning and evening, and apply to the wound. Stop when the wound heals flat. Especially wonderful for treating soft boils in children. If suffering from [certain] ulcers, use only these five medicines, mix with fresh drawn water, spread on Lian paper, and before going to bed [apply].
