Treats ten types of ding sores (hard, deep-seated infections), where toxic heat accumulates and hardens like stone, causing unbearable pain.
Qianbaishuang (Lead White Frost), Danfan (Chalcanthite), Fenshuang (Calomel), Sha (Realgar), Zhusha (Cinnabar) (separately ground. One qian of each of the five ingredients), Wugong (Centipede) (one piece, roasted).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. First, prick the affected area with a needle to induce bleeding, insert one zi (a traditional unit of weight/volume for topical use) of the medicine into the wound, and cover it with a paste made from flour boiled in vinegar. The root of the sore will suppurate within one day, leading to immediate recovery.
Treats all kinds of wind-heat induced malignant sores.
Longgu (Dragon Bone), Huangdan (Red Lead), Qingfen (Calomel), Baifan (Alum), Sheng Tianluo (Live Snail) (two pieces).
First, grind the Baifan into a powder and place it inside the shell of the snail. Roast it over charcoal fire until it turns white. Take it out and grind it together with Longgu, Huangdan, etc., into a fine powder. It will heal after two or three applications.
Treats malignant sores.
Wzeiyu Gu (Cuttlebone) (as needed, scrape off the hard skin).
Grind the above ingredient into a fine powder and apply externally mixed with sesame oil.
Treats swollen sores that have already ulcerated but discharge pus slowly. (The following are formulas for extracting toxins and promoting tissue regeneration.)
Xiongque Fen (Male Sparrow Droppings) (genuine, 2-7 pieces), Sha (Realgar) (ground, one yi-bi amount), Chen Huai Jingmi (Old/Decayed Glutinous Rice) (one yi-bi amount, ground into powder), Moyao (Myrrh) (a small amount).
Grind the above ingredients together finely. Mix with Jingmi Yin (decoction of glutinous rice) to form pills the size of wheat grains. Use one pill per application, inserting it into the sore.
Dissolves polyps, repels foul odors, relieves pain, disperses cold pathogens, dries up pus, promotes flesh growth, closes sore openings, and treats ingrown toenails.
Shetui Pi (Snake Slough) (four liang, burned in an ironing board until carbonized but retaining its medicinal property), Xionghuang (Realgar) (one liang, separately ground), Xuexie (Dragon's Blood) (two qian, separately ground), Shexiang (Musk) (two qian, separately ground).
Grind the above ingredients uniformly into a fine powder. Apply a small amount directly to the affected area in dry powder form.
Treats all kinds of spreading malignant sores that fail to regenerate tissue and do not close over time.
Dingfen (Minium), Bailian Powder (Ampelopsis Radix Powder), Baiji Powder (Bletilla Rhizome Powder), Longgu Powder (Dragon Bone Powder), Huangdan (Red Lead) (two qian, refined and ground), Wu [Zeiyu Gu] (Cuttlebone) [Note: Text cuts off here].
Grind the above ingredients together until extremely fine. Apply as a dry powder to the sore. If the sore is moist, add two qian of Ruxiang (Frankincense). If the sore is dry, moisten with saliva before applying.
