治鼻衄不止。（以下鼻衄方。）
蛤粉（一两，研极细，罗五、七遍） 槐花（半两，炒令焦，碾为末）
上件令极匀细。每服一钱，新汲水调下。如小，可只用半钱。兼治便血不止，不拘时候。
Treats deafness and tinnitus.
Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove the rhizome head), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex, remove the rough bark; these four herbs each take 3 fen), Cishi (Magnetitum, 2 liang, crushed and washed with water to remove red impurities).
Finely chop the above ingredients, wrap them in new cotton cloth, tie securely, and soak in 1 dou of unadulterated wine for seven days. Drink one cup on an empty stomach daily, and drink again in the evening.
Treats deafness.
Bimazi (Ricini Semen, remove the skin), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, remove the skin, membrane, and oil heart), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen, remove the skin and tip), Ruxiang (Olibanum, grind separately), Songzhi (Pini Resina, grind separately; these five herbs each take half a qian).
Grind the above ingredients together and mix well, roll into pills the size of a date pit or small thumb, wrap thinly in yellow beeswax, and pierce two or three holes through both ends with a large needle. Insert into the ear.
Treats long-standing or recent deafness.
Xeshao (Scorpio, seven pieces, roasted), Danshi (Fermented Soybean, twenty-one grains, select large ones, roasted), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, seven grains, remove the core, membrane, and oil).
First grind Xeshao and Danshi finely. Grind Badou separately into a paste, then mix uniformly with the previous two powders. Shape into pills like small date pits, and wrap with the small end of scallion white parts.
Treats sounds resembling wind and rain or bells in the ears, as well as sudden deafness.
Jiaomu (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium Seed, 1 fen), Shichangpu (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, 1 fen), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, grind with skin, one grain).
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, knead with honey to form suppositories. Insert into the ear, replace once a day.
Treats obstruction at Naohu acupoint due to pathogenic qi, accumulation of thick nasal discharge, and blockage of orifices. (Formula for nasal congestion.)
Xinyi (Magnoliae Flos), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Xiangbaizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Yincacao (Herba Siegesbeckiae), Tongcao (Tetrapanacis Medulla; these five herbs each take 1 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, wash and roast), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, remove leaves and soil), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex, remove rough bark).
Finely chop the above ingredients and soak in wine overnight (wine quantity need not be large). The next day, add a small amount of pig marrow, sheep marrow, and lard, and decoct into oil. Add the wine-soaked medicinal materials and continue decocting together.
Treats persistent epistaxis. (The following are formulas for epistaxis.)
Gafen (Concha Meretricis, 1 liang, ground extremely fine, sifted five to seven times), Huaihua (Sophorae Flos, half a liang, stir-fried until charred, ground into powder).
Mix the above ingredients until extremely fine and uniform. Take 1 qian per dose, mixed with fresh cold water. If symptoms are mild, use only half a qian. Also treats persistent hematochezia, regardless of time.
