When Summerheat and Dampness combine, they stagnate and transform into intense Heat, causing vexation and restlessness in the five centers (palms of hands, soles of feet, and chest), inability to sit or lie comfortably, thirst with desire for drinks, and chest stuffiness. This represents the successive invasion of three pathogens (Summerheat, Dampness, and Heat), creating a situation as fierce as a prairie fire. It is necessary to urgently employ purgation to preserve Yin fluids and treat the Upper, Middle, and Lower Jiao comprehensively. Sanjie Tang (Three-Resolving Decoction) is the primary formula.
