Xianlingpi (Herba Epimedii, also known as Yin Yang Huo, 1.5 liang), Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi, 1 liang), Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong, 0.5 liang), Chuanwu (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii, peeled and cleaned, 0.5 liang), Wujiapi (Cortex Acanthopanacis Senticosi, stir-fried with wine and peeled, 1 liang), Duzhong (Cortex Eucommiae, 0.5 liang),
Beixixin (Herba Asari, 0.5 liang), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, 0.5 liang, must be fresh and carefully selected), Xiangfu (Rhizoma Cyperi, 0.5 liang), Diluxiang (Resina Olibani, oil removed before adding, 0.5 liang), Moyao (Resina Myrrhae, oil removed before adding, 0.5 liang), Huangdan (Lithargyrum, added later to consolidate the plaster, 2.5 liang), Nen Songxiang (Pini Resina, 2 liang, added later). The above total eighteen medicinal materials, plus Siye Dui (3 qian), Tufuling (Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae, 3 qian), Haifengteng (Caulis Sinomenii, 5 qian). Take several jin of genuine rapeseed oil, boil until rolling. First put fourteen medicinal materials into the pot, then soak the three herbal medicines together in the oil. Soak for five days in spring, three days in summer, seven days in autumn, and ten days in winter. After the period expires, put the herbs into the pot and simmer over a gentle fire. When the herbs float up, filter out the dregs. Then add the three ingredients: Olibanum, Myrrha, and Pini Resina. Boil a few more times until a drop of liquid forms a bead when dropped in water. Then add Lithargyrum to consolidate the plaster. Let it cool for three days before use. This plaster is specifically for treating fractures caused by falls and blows, where the skin is not broken. Apply this plaster to the affected area, and the bones will gradually recover to their original state.
It is also effective for all kinds of contusions and traumatic injuries. Applied to the injured site, the damaged bones will heal naturally, swelling will subside, and it has remarkable effects in dispersing blood stasis and promoting qi circulation.
In cases where trauma causes inability to speak or unconsciousness regarding the injury site, urgently gather a Congshu (a type of herb, less than one chi long), pull it up by the roots, wash off the mud, crush and extract the juice. Measure the amount according to the patient's capacity; if they can drink about one hu (a unit of volume), prepare one hu of Congshu juice, mix well, and have the injured person drink it to prevent blood stasis from rushing to the heart. Then invite a doctor for further treatment.
Additionally, at crossroads, collect bricks or tiles from the bottom of urine buckets, dry them by stir-frying, grind them into powder, which can also treat traumatic injuries.
