"Qiu" usually refers to Qiang Huo or similar, here interpreted as part of wind-moistening agents), Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia Root). (Qiu and Fang are wind-dispelling herbs that are also moistening.) Fan Wei (Regurgitation) and Ye Ge (Dysphagia) arise from Excess Fire and Withered Blood, or from Blood Stasis and Cold Phlegm obstructing the Stomach opening, thus food enters and then regurgitates. Niu Nai (Cow Milk) moistens dryness and nourishes Blood as the Sovereign herb; Jiu Cai Zhi (Leek Juice), Ou Zhi (Lotus Root Juice) resolve stasis and benefit the Stomach; Jiang Zhi (Ginger Juice) warms the Stomach and disperses phlegm; Li Zhi (Pear Juice) resolves phlegm and descends Fire.
