(From *Furen Liangfang*) Yanhusuo (Corydalis Rhizome), Guixi (Cinnamon Twig Heart), Dangguiwei (Angelica Sinensis Tail), and Chishaoyao (Red Peony Root). Niuqi (Achyranthes Root), Sanleng (Sparganium Rhizome), and Ezhu (Curcuma Rhizome) are decocted with wine and water. When Qi moves, blood stasis disperses, and blood masses (Xuejia, abdominal masses caused by blood stasis) are eliminated. ([Treatment for blood stasis lingering in a semi-coagulated state. Guixin, Danpi (Moutan Cortex), Chishaoyao, and Niuqi promote blood circulation; Sanleng, Ezhu, Dangguiwei, and Yanhusuo simultaneously address Qi stagnation within blood stasis and blood stasis within Qi stagnation, thereby dissipating the coagulated pathogen.])
(From *Furen Liangfang*) Gui Ban (Tortoise Shell) serves as the sovereign herb, accompanied by Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark), Chupi (Sophora Root Bark), and Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizome) as minister and assistant herbs. Decocted into pills with wine using Huangqin (Scutellaria Root) and Shaoyao (Paeonia Lactiflora Root), it treats metrorrhagia (abnormal uterine bleeding) and flooding (profuse vaginal bleeding) characterized by dark black discharge. ([Treats prolonged menstruation with purple-black color, indicating Heat syndrome. Gui Ban [calcined] 4 liang, Huangbai [wine-fried] and Shaoyao [wine-fried] each 2 liang, Chupi [stir-fried] and Xiangfu [soaked in child's urine and stir-fried] each 1.5 liang, Huangqin [wine-fried] 2 liang; formed into wine pills. Yin deficiency fails to control the fire of the Bao Luo (uterine collaterals), causing excessive menstruation. Gui Ban and Shaoyao nourish Yin and strengthen Water; Huangqin clears Upper Jiao heat; Huangbai drains Lower Jiao fire; Xiangfu’s pungency disperses depression; Chupi’s astringency secures against collapse.])
(From *Liangfang*) Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Niuqi (Achyranthes Root), Xuduan (Dipsacus Root), and Zelan (Lygodium Spore) possess a fragrant quality. Adding Juanbai (Selaginella Tamariscina) unites the blood vessels, treating depleted menses and blood deficiency by supporting the Kidney and Liver. ([Baiziren [de-oiled], Niuqi [wine-soaked], and Juanbai each 5 qian; Shudihuang 1 liang; Xuduan and Zelan each 3 liang; formed into honey pills, taken with rice drink. The medical classics state: If Heart Qi fails to descend downward, menstruation will not occur. Baiziren calms the spirit and nourishes the Heart; Shudihuang, Xuduan, and Niuqi tonify the Liver and benefit the Kidney; Zelan and Juanbai invigorate blood and unblock the menses.])
The third formula
(From an anonymous master's collection) Uses Yanmei Rou (Salted Plum Flesh), Ziye (Perilla Leaf), Bohe (Mint), and Shishuang (Persimmon Frost). Tea powder, Maidong (Ophiopogon Tuber), and sugar are pounded together; taking this during travel is superior to nectar. ([Yanmei Rou 4 liang, Maidong [heart removed], Bohe Ye [stalks removed], Shishuang, and Xi Cha (fine tea) each 1 liang, Ziye [stalks removed] 5 qian; ground into an extremely fine powder, mixed with 4 liang of white frost sugar, and pounded into pills the size of chicken eggs. Carry during travel, suck one pill at a time to generate fluids and quench thirst; adding 1 liang of Renshen (Ginseng) is especially excellent.])
