Zhiqiao (prepared as above, 1 liang) Danshichu (roasted dry) Fushen (peeled of skin and woody roots) Tian Nan Xing (prepared as above, each of the three flavors half a liang)
Quan Xie Shao (50 tails, remove the tip and poison) Jing Wuyi (2 qian 5 fen, first grind in a mortar until extremely fine and pasty)
Except for Wuyi, the remaining five flavors are roasted and ground into powder, then mixed with Wuyi in a mortar until uniform. Cooked glutinous rice flour paste is used to make pills. For infants under one year old, pills are sized like millet grains; take 30 to 50 pills per dose, administered with milk. For children over three years old, pills are sized like hemp seeds; take 50 to 60 pills per dose, administered with warm clear rice soup. Wait one hour before feeding milk or food.
Treats Jie Xiong (chest binding syndrome) resulting from both Yin and Yang patterns, with miraculous efficacy surpassing that of Xiaoxiong Tang (Pit-Draining Decoction), Chengqi Tang (Follow-the-Qi Decoction), and Xiexin Tang (Drain-the-Heart Decoction).
Mingfan (1 liang) Yinzhu (half a liang)
The two flavors are ground together into powder. Place a small clay cup on a charcoal fire within an ironing pan. Add one qian of the Fan-Zhu powder into the cup to melt. Quickly scrape out and roll into pills. If the aforementioned symptoms occur, take one pill each time, mix finely with strong tea liquor, and take warm. Alternatively, stir-fry with a little ginger juice and take. Upon hearing a faint sound in the heart region, the binding will naturally dissipate. It does not disturb the Zang-Fu organs nor damage the True Qi. It can be administered regardless of deficiency or excess patterns. Mingfan resolves phlegm and detoxifies; Yinzhu is refined from Mercury or Sulfur, specifically breaking up accumulations, thus treating Jie Xiong.
Treats various Wind patterns.
