Cinnabaris (processed by water levigation, 3 qian) Huangqin Powder (Scutellariae Radix Powder) Gancao Powder (Licorice Root Powder) [the latter two each half liang] Wuling San Powder (Five-Ingredient Powder with Poria) [2 liang]

Jing Huanglian (Cleaned Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 liang 3 qian) Huangbai (Bark of Phellodendri Cortex stripped of rough surface, 7 qian) Baijiang (White Ginger) Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, washed with wine and baked dry, these two each 7 qian 5 fen)
Finely chop the above four herbs, or dry them in the sun or bake them, then grind into powder. Use the rice paste prepared within Wu Xi Wan as a binder to form pills sized like Hemp Seed (Haren). Take 30 to 50 pills at a time, administered on an empty stomach with decoction of Mume Fructus (Wumei). For other conditions, patients generally prefer sweet, salty, and delicious flavors; however, those with diarrhea and dysentery reject these, preferring sour, bitter, astringent, and bland tastes. Therefore, Mume Fructus decoction is used as a guiding agent. For smaller infants, form pills sized like Millet or Grain. The method of administration is the same as above.

Use glutinous rice flour paste as a binder to form pills sized like Hemp Seed. Take 30 to 50 pills. Administer with cool wine on an empty stomach before the onset of fever, or administer with wine every other night. For severe cases, take two doses; for mild cases, take one dose.
