Prepare pills using "Wugen Shui" (rainwater or dew that has not touched the ground), shaping them to the size of a corn kernel. Coat the pills with "Huangdan" (Lead Monoxide). Take one or two pills per dose, swallowed with good-quality rice wine; if the patient does not drink alcohol, swallow with warm water. The pills must not be allowed to dissolve in the mouth, nor should the patient be informed of the specific ingredients. This method is extremely effective.
Another prescription: For the initial stage of Ru Yong (Breast Abscess) and unnameable swelling/toxins.
Use "Wuye Teng" (Five-leaf Vine, also known as Wua Long / Five-claw Dragon Vine), quantity unspecified, combined with one piece of fresh ginger and one bowl of good-quality rice wine. Grind into a paste, strain out the dregs, and take hot. The treatment is considered complete when sweating occurs. Apply the remaining dregs externally to the affected area.
Formula for External Application on Breast (Functions: Invigorates Blood, Moves Qi, Resolves Phlegm)
Tian Nan Xing (Arisaema Rhizoma), Zao Jiao Ci (Gleditsiae Spina, roasted until half-charred), Ban Xia (Pinellia Rhizoma, raw, each 3 fen), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Cao Wu (Aconiti Radix Preparata), Zhi Jiang Can (Bombyx Batryticatus, baked, each 1 fen).
Grind all ingredients into a fine powder. Use abundant juice extracted from scallion whites (Cong Bai), mix with honey, and apply externally. If the wound is ulcerated, use a plaster instead. (Note: Scallion and Honey are considered incompatible in traditional compatibility theory [Xiang Fan], hence their specific use here for therapeutic effect).
Scallion Moxibustion Method: Treats Chui Ru (Milk Blowing/Engorgement due to emotional stress or improper diet leading to breast abscess) and Ru Yong, providing immediate relief. (Mechanism: Unblocks congestion and accumulation in the Yangming Meridian).
Take a large bunch of scallions with roots, pound into a paste, and form into a cake approximately one finger-width thick. Place it on the breast. Cover the scallion cake with a clay pot filled with hot ash/fire. Sweating shortly thereafter indicates recovery.
Another prescription: Treats Chui Nai (Milk Engorgement).
Jin Yin Hua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos), Tian Qiao Mai (Fagopyri Dibotrys Herba), Zi Ge Teng (Puerariae Lobatae Caulis, equal parts).
Decoct these herbs in vinegar and wash the affected area; symptoms will disappear immediately. If Tian Qiao Mai and Zi Ge Teng are unavailable, Jin Yin Hua alone is sufficient.
Another prescription: Treats Ru Yong. (The previous external formula uses warm properties, whereas this one uses cool properties, reflecting differences in Qi and Blood pathology).
Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Shu Fen (Mus Stercus, fresh, each 1 fen), Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 2 fen).
Pound these three ingredients into a powder. Mix with the clear liquid from millet porridge (Shu Mi Zhou Qing) and apply to the four sides of the breast. Recovery occurs when pain ceases. If Shu Mi (Broomcorn Millet) is unavailable, Su Mi (Foxtail Millet) or Jing Mi (Common Rice) can be used.
Willow Root Moxibustion Method: Treats Ru Yong lasting two to three hundred days, where other treatments have failed, leaving the breast hard, purple, or bluish-green.
Peel the outer bark from Willow roots (Liu Gen), pound until soft and cooked, then heat until warm. Place in a silk bag and moxa/iron the breast area. Replace when dry. Recovery occurs overnight.
