Miscellaneous Prescriptions: Treating Chu Ru (Blowing Breast Abscess) and Ru Yong (Breast Abscess).
Take a handful of fresh Bi Ye (Cupressi Cacumen, Cypress Twig), wash it clean, place it in a mortar with one spoonful of Pu Xiao (Natrii Sulfas, Mirabilite), pound them together, then add clear water gradually. Twist and squeeze to extract half a bowl of natural juice. First, have the patient drink two or three mouthfuls. Then, use a chicken feather dipped in the juice to sweep and apply it to the affected area, leaving a small opening in the center while frequently applying it to the surrounding edges. The swelling will naturally subside.
Another method: Apply juice extracted from raw Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix, Rehmannia Root) by grinding. Apply three to five times a day for immediate effect.
Another method: Pound raw Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Yam Rhizome) into a paste and apply it to the affected area to reduce swelling. Remove it immediately after the swelling subsides; if delayed, the flesh may rot.
Another method: Collect fresh Sang Ye (Mori Folium, Mulberry Leaf), grind it into fine powder, mix with Mi Yin (Rice Decoction, Rice Water) to spread on paper flowers, and apply to the affected area.
Another method: Pound Pu Gong Ying (Taraxaci Herba, Dandelion Herb) into a paste and apply it to the affected area; this is miraculous.
Another method: Grind Tian Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, Arisaema Rhizome) into powder, mix with warm Jiu (Alcohol, Wine) for topical application.
Another method: Grind Yi Mu Cao (Leonuri Herba, Motherwort Herb) into powder for mixing and application, or use it directly as a fresh paste.
Another method: For treating Chu Ru, use Sang Shu Zhu Xie (Sangus Lignam Residuum, Residue from Mulberry Tree Borings), mash it with cooked rice into a paste for application.
Another method: Decoct Yuan Zhi (Polygalae Radix, Polygala Root) in wine for oral administration, and apply the dregs to the affected area.
Another method: Mix Ye Jiao Teng (or similar herb implied by context, likely referring to a local variant or specific preparation involving wild pepper and mulberry) with herbs, pound into a paste, and apply to the affected area. *Note: Text says "Ye Jiao Sang" which might be a typo for Ye Jiao Teng or specific local usage, but literal translation implies Wild Pepper and Mulberry.* Correct interpretation based on standard texts often involves specific combinations, here literally: Use Ye Jiao (Wild Pepper?) and Sang (Mulberry) mixed with medicine, pounded into paste, applied to the site.
Another method: Use Niu Bang Zi (Arctii Fructus, Arctium Fruit/Burdock Seed) combined with She Gan (Belamcandae Rhizoma, Belamcanda Rhizome), swallowed with wine.
Another method: For treating Ru Yong, burn Ren Ya Chi (Human Teeth) until carbonized but retaining properties, grind into fine powder, mix with Su You (Butyrum, Ghee/Suet), and apply to the abscess.
Another method: For early-stage Ru Yong, grind Bei Mu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus, Fritillary Bulb) into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine. Immediately after taking, place both hands flat on a table, let the breast hang down for a long time, and the blockage will naturally resolve.
Another method: Grind Zhen Hua Pi (Betulae Cortex, Birch Bark) into powder. Take one cun bi (approx. 5-10 grams) with wine. The condition resolves upon waking.
Another method: Decoct Pu Gong Ying (Taraxaci Herba, Dandelion Herb) and Jin Yin Teng (Lonicerae Japonicae Caulis, Honeysuckle Stem) in wine. Sleepiness after ingestion indicates the therapeutic effect.
Another method: Boil Pu Gong Ying (Taraxaci Herba, Dandelion Herb) alone to make juice for drinking and external sealing/application; the swelling dissipates immediately.
