Cebai Duyu Decoction: Treats red and white leukorrhea, leading to infertility.
Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Cebaiye (Platycladi Cacumen), Duyu (Sanguisorbae Radix), Hai Piao Xiao (Sepia Ego), Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus), Muli (Ostreae Concha - sealed with salt mud, calcined thoroughly, mud removed and powdered, each 1 qian), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Rongshong (Cistanches Herba - soaked in wine), Chuangzi (Cnidii Fructus, each 1.2 qian).
The above herbs are cut into pieces. Add three slices of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens), decoct in water, and take when half-hungry. (The Kidney governs closure and storage; if sliding and incontinence occur, it is due to insecurity of Kidney Qi. Muli is salty and cold, benefiting the Kidney; Chuangzi is acrid and warm, strengthening Qi; those that are clear, drying, and astringent are Cebaiye, Duyu, and Hai Piao Xiao; those that are warm and tonifying Qi are Huang Qin and Rongshong; as for Baizhi, it circulates Qi of the Yangming channel to the Blood Sea, and Bai Jiangcan disperses knotted Qi to eliminate phlegm.)
Baizhi Powder: Treats red and white leukorrhea.
Baizhi (2 liang), Hai Piao Xiao (2 pieces, processed), Taifa (Fetal Hair, one tuft, processed).
Grind into fine powder. Take 2 qian mixed with warm Jiujiu (wine) on an empty stomach. (Hai Piao Xiao has astringent properties for Qi, Taifa has astringent properties for Blood, Baizhi circulates Qi of the Yangming channel and dispels dampness, assisting the function of warming and ascending.)
Fulonggan San: Treats red and white leukorrhea, chronic cases not healing, with sallow complexion, fatigue, and faint, soggy pulses in all six positions.
Zonglv (Livistonae Palm Leaf - burnt until soft, quickly covered with a basin to preserve its nature and cool down), Fulonggan (Dragon's Liver Earth - taken from directly under the stove, stir-fried until smoke ceases), Wuliang Shang Xuanchen (Dust hanging from roof beams - stir-fried until smoke ceases, removing fire toxicity).
Mix equal parts and grind evenly. Add a small amount of Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum) and Shexiang (Moschus). Take 3 qian per dose, with warm Jiujiu or light vinegar water. For ten-year illness, peace can be achieved in half a month. (The nature of Fire and Earth generates dryness; dryness is sufficient to fortify Earth. Dust from roof beams rises with the Qi of Earth; rising prevents Earth Qi from sinking and thus prevents generation of Dampness; Zonglv is used for stopping and astringing; adding small amounts of Longnao and Shexiang utilizes their dispersing ability, but for those debilitated by long-term illness, tonics are likely necessary.)
Matiqi Wan: Treats continuous white leukorrhea.
Baimati (White Horse Hoof), Yuyuliang (Yiyu Lithargite, each 4 liang), Longgu (Fossilized Bones, 3 liang), Hai Piao Xiao, Bai Jiangcan, Chishizhi (Red Halloysite, each 2 liang).
Grind into fine powder, make pills with refined honey the size of tung seeds. Take 10 pills per dose, with Jiujiu on an empty stomach. If not stopped, increase to 30 pills. (Horse hoof enters the Liver via its robust body below; Bai Jiangcan obtains the rigid Qi of Dry Metal to control Wood; Yuyuliang and Chishizhi secure the slipping of Blood; Longgu and Hai Piao Xiao secure the slipping of Qi. The Liver governs free flow and stores Blood; excessive free flow leads to Qi slipping, and Qi slipping leads to Blood failing to store. Using Metal to level it enhances its ascending power, and using blood-astringents secures its Qi, making it an essential medicine for treating leakage.)
Guzhen Wan: Treats profuse white leukorrhea with incontinence, pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions, feeling cold like ice upon touch, similarly in the vagina, sensation of heat rising in the eyes causing visual obstruction, teeth pained by hot drinks requiring application of Huanglian (Scutellariae Radix) powder to stop pain, preferring dry food, and strongly disliking liquid drinks.
This disease is caused by Cold-Damp invading the Bao Palace (Uterus), hence preference for dryness and aversion to dampness; Yin-Fire of the Liver Channel overflows upwards, causing upper congestion and heat sensation in the eyes; Kidney Water invades the Liver and overflows upwards, causing visual impairment; teeth disliking hot drinks indicate latent Fire in the Shaoyang and Yangming channels. One should greatly purge Cold-Damp using pill medication. Thus, it is said that Cold in the Lower Jiao requires slow treatment, strictly forbidding decoctions and powders. Use Jiu (wine) to process Baishi Zhi (Kaolinite) and Bai Longgu (Fossilized Bones) to dry up dampness; use Pao Ganjiang (Prepared Zingiberis Rhizoma), extremely acrid and hot, to purge Cold-Water; use Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex), extremely cold, as an expedient measure and guide. It is said: "Even in ancient times with heavy crimes, one does not cut off the lineage." This embodies the intent of "subduing the governing factor and addressing the cause first." To further purge the aversion to hot drinks in the teeth, use Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) as the guiding herb of this classic, and Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, half qian) to guide it, fearing that the acrid-hot drugs might be too harsh and damage the Liver Channel, so slightly purging it; use Danggui Shen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix Body), acrid and warm, to harmonize the blood vessels extensively. The method of medication is complete.
Baishi Zhi (burned, washed with water, finely ground, baked dry), Chaihu (each 1 qian), Bai Longgu (2 qian, boiled in wine, dried, washed with water and powdered), Danggui (washed in wine, 3 qian), Ganjiang (prepared, 4 qian), Huangbai (washed in wine), Baishaoyao (each 0.5 qian).
Grind into fine powder, make pills with water-boiled thin paste, the size of chicken heads. Take 30 pills per dose, on an empty stomach after residual food is digested, send down with boiled warm water, do not let it stay in the stomach, wait a while, then press it with breakfast, so as not to let hot drugs offend the Stomach. Avoid raw, cold, hard foods, and alcoholic or damp wheat products. (Medication has methods and timelines; reading this provides another set of principles.)
Another Prescription: Treats red and white leukorrhea, regardless of whether recent or long-standing, all are treated.
Longgu (half liang), Boshang Liuhuang (Imported Sulfur, 3 qian).
Grind into fine powder. Take half qian per dose, with unadulterated Jiujiu on an empty stomach. (Greatly warms Cold-Damp in the Lower Yuan, suitable only for chronic deficiency-cold cases; taking as pills is better, fearing its upward surging action.)
Maohua San: Treats women with unstoppable metrorrhagia (blood flooding), red and white leukorrhea. (This prescription is originally for metrorrhagia and should be classified under Metrorrhagia syndromes.)
Maohua (Millet Flower, one handful), Zonglv Pi (Livistonae Palm Leaf Bark, 3 cun), Nen Heye (Young Nelumbinis Folium, 3 leaves), Gancao Jie (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Node, 2 cun).
Grind into fine powder. Take half spoon mixed with Jiujiu on an empty stomach.
Shuangbai Wan: Treats white leukorrhea miraculously. (Dries dampness and promotes diuresis.)
Duanshi (Calcined Alumen, 1 liang), Baifuling (Poria, 2 liang).
Grind into powder, make pills with water the size of tung seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, with plain water on an empty stomach.
Baifuzi Wan: A woman suffered from intermittent uterine bleeding for years without success of various medicines, with soggy and faint pulse. This prescription combined with the previous Fulonggan San cured her.
Baifuzi (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, 4 liang), Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, 2 liang), Huang Gou Gutou (Yellow Dog Bone, 4 liang, burnt to ash). (The妙 [wonder] lies in the ash of dog bone, which presumably has warming and astringent capabilities.)
Grind into fine powder, make pills with congee the size of tung seeds. Take 30 pills per dose.
Duyu Gao: Treats red and white leukorrhea leading to emaciation (body standing out like bones). (This is an astringent-blood and cooling preparation, suitable for cases where Damp-Heat prevails with sliding incontinence.)
Duyu (1 jin).
Use 3 sheng of water, decoct until half remains, remove dregs, decoct again until thick like syrup, strain cleanly. Take 3 he on an empty stomach, twice daily.
