For postpartum headache caused by wind invasion, add equal parts of Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) and reduce Gancao (Licorice Root) by half. If it is chronic deficiency fatigue after childbirth with a floating and rapid pulse, Chaihu Siwu Tang (Bupleurum Four Substances Decoction) is suitable; this is a combination of the present formula and Xiaochaihu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction). If various symptoms occur after childbirth, treat according to the Six Channels (Liu Jing), combining Siwu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) with formulas from Zhang Zhongjing in equal proportions; taking them is very effective. For extreme weakness after childbirth with fever and restlessness, add Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root). For postpartum abdominal distension, add Zhike (Aurantii Fructus) and Rougui (Cinnamon Bark). For postpartum alternating chills and fever, add Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix) and Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix). For postpartum敗血 (stagnant blood) attacking the heart, add Digupi (Lycii Cortex) and Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix). For postpartum tidal fever, add Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Beichaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Gancao (Licorice Root), Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex), and Digupi (Lycii Cortex). (Why use Longgu for treating dysentery wind? The hot herbs are also not ideal.)
Jianyi Danggui San (Simple Angelica Powder): Treats irregular menstrual cycles, such as amenorrhea for three or four months, menstruation occurring twice a month, or lower back and leg pain, occurring at irregular times. (This formula does not use Dihuang but tonifies the Liver and Spleen, clears Metal to control Water, representing a variation of Siwu Tang. From this, one can infer infinite adaptability.)
Herbs: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba, stir-fried), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, stir-fried, each 1 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Shanzhuyu (Corni Fructus, each 1.5 liang).
Grind the above into fine powder. Take 2 qian mixed with warm wine on an empty stomach, three times daily. Alternatively, cut into pieces, take 7 qian per dose, add fresh ginger, and decoct with water; if the constitution is cold, remove Huangqin and add Rougui (Cinnamon Bark). Another version includes Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root).
Zengsun Siwu Tang (Modified Four Substances Decoction): Treats irregular menstruation, epigastric and abdominal pain, nourishes blood, warms meridians, and preserves youth. (Another variation; although Baizhu is warm, Mudanpi and Digupi clear heat from muscles and bones, so the character "warm" may be erroneous.)
Herbs: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, stir-fried), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex, each 1.5 qian); Digupi (Lycii Cortex, 1 qian).
Cut the above into pieces. As one dose, add two zhong of water, decoct until one zhong remains, and take before meals.
Da Wenjing Tang (Great Meridian-Warming Decoction): Treats deficiency and damage of the Chong and Ren vessels, irregular menstruation, excessive flow that does not stop, delayed menstruation, metrorrhagia with excessive bleeding, or retained lochia/blood stasis during pregnancy causing acute lower abdominal pain, heat sensation in the palms, soles, and chest, among other conditions. (This is a warming agent, suitable for those with internal cold.) (If it is called Meridian-Warming Decoction, why does it treat various heat syndromes? Please explain in detail. It might be better not to write the book, assuming there is a specific purpose.)
Herbs: Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, remove radicle), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini, crushed and stir-fried), Rougui (Cinnamon Bark, remove rough bark), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, stir-fried), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, soak in boiling water), Mudanpi (Moutan Cortex), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, each 1 qian); Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, remove heart, 2 qian); Banxia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, soak in ginger juice seven times, 2.5 qian).
Cut the above into pieces. As one dose, add five slices of fresh ginger, decoct with water, and take slightly warm before meals.
Yan Shi Yi Qi San (Dr. Yan's Qi-Suppressing Powder): Treats women where qi exceeds blood, generating various symptoms such as dizziness and chest fullness. (This is Master Tie Weng's Jiaogan Dan method; it should only be used when true qi is truly excessive.)
Herbs: Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, 4 liang), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 2 liang), Fushen (Poria Cum Ramo Pini, remove wood), Gancao (Licorice Root).
Grind the above into powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mix with boiling water before meals.
Si Zhi Xiangfu Wan (Four-Processed Cyperi Pill): Treats irregular menstruation in women.
Herbs: Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, rub off skin, 1 jin, divide into four parts: soak one part in good wine, one part in salt water, one part in child's urine, one part in vinegar, each for three days, then dry by baking).
Grind the above into fine powder, make pills with vinegar paste, size of wu zi (walnut seeds). Take 70 pills per dose, swallow with salt wine on an empty stomach before meals. (Xiangfu is the qi herb within blood herbs; it opens stagnation and moves qi, so blood naturally regulates. What disease cannot be cured? Women should take it regularly.)
Shi Wei Xiangfu Wan (Ten-Ingredient Cyperi Pill): Treats irregular menstruation in women. (An excellent prescription.)
Herbs: Xiangfu (Four-processed, 1 jin), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, stir-fried), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root, each 4 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Zelan Ye (Lygodii Folium), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, each 2 liang); Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, salt-water stir-fried), Gancao (Licorice Root, honey-fried, each 1 liang).

Jiu Wei Xiangfu Wan (Nine-Ingredient Cyperi Pill): Suitable for various ailments in women.
Herbs: Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma, soak in child's urine overnight, then boil in vinegar, dry, roast, 4 liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, wash with wine), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, stir-fry with wine), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma, wash with wine), Shengdihuang (Rehmannia Root, wash with wine), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, remove white pith, each 1 liang); Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, 2 liang); Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, stir-fry with wine, 1.5 liang); Xiaohuixiang (Foeniculi Fructus, stir-fry, 5 qian).
Grind the above into powder, make pills with vinegar paste, size of tong zi. Swallow 80-90 pills with wine on an empty stomach. If there is heat, add Digupi (Lycii Cortex) and Ruan Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix, soaked in wine, each 1 liang).
Ai Fu Nuan Gong Wan (Mugwort and Cyperi Uterus-Warming Pill): Treats irregular menstruation in women, frequent lower abdominal pain, red and white leukorrhea, and uterine cold.

Grind the above into fine powder, make pills with vinegar paste, size of tong zi. Take 70-80 pills per dose, swallow with rice soup or wine as desired.
Baizi Guifu Wan (Hundred-Seed Return-to-Cyperi Pill): Regulates menstruation and nourishes blood, calms the fetus and smooths qi. Treats conditions before and after childbirth, as well as irregular menstruation with excess or deficiency, curing all syndromes; long-term use promotes pregnancy.
Herbs: Xiangfu (Four-processed, 12 liang), Ejiao (Colla Corii Asini, crushed and stir-fried), Aye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, wash with wine), Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix, stir-fry), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmannia Root, wash with wine, each 2 liang).
Grind the above into powder. Use one aged pomegranate, crush with peel, decoct in water to make paste for pills, size of tong zi. Take 100 pills per dose, swallow with light vinegar water on an empty stomach. (The previous formula contains Yanhusuo, this one contains Ejiao; the previous has more mugwort, this one less, having the妙处 (wonderful effect) of movement. Aged pomegranate is sour and astringent, likely intended to consolidate the menses.)
Renshen Yangxue Wan (Ginseng Blood-Nourishing Pill): Treats women with weak congenital constitution and deficiency of blood and qi. Regular use tonifies the Chong and Ren vessels, regulates menstruation, warms the lower yuan, and generates blood and qi.

Grind the above into fine powder, process with refined honey into pills, size of wu zi. Take 80 pills per dose, swallow with warm wine or rice drink as desired. (Weak constitution implies weak congenital qi. Blood is generated by qi, and qi is generated in the lower jiao; thus, Shudihuang is used as the sovereign herb, assisted by Renshen to generate qi in the lower jiao, making yin qi prosperous to generate blood; Wumei is used as the minister herb to generate fluids and astringe blood into the liver; since it is generated and astringed, if not circulated, blood will stagnate, so Chuanxiong and Danggui are used as the envoy herb to guide circulation; if there is stasis, Chishaoyao breaks it; if there is leakage, stir-fried Puhuang astringes it. Thus, generation does not cause obstruction, stopping does not cause blockage, descending contains ascending, and warming is not hot. Carefully study the precise dosages to understand the wonderful application of the prescription.)
Danggui Dihuang Wan (Angelica and Rehmannia Pill): Treats disharmony of blood and qi in women, irregular menstruation, and lower back and leg pain.
