According to the *Guang Zhou Ji* (Records of Guangzhou): It grows in the valleys of the South Sea. It warms and tonifies the waist and legs, resolves postpartum evil blood (stasis), and treats bloody dysentery and intestinal wind bleeding. Its efficacy is similar to that of Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, specifically the tender branches or inner bark of Cinnamon Twig). However, it is rarely used by practitioners. (From *Da Guan Ben Cao*, Vol. 13, p. 48; *Zheng He Ben Cao*, p. 334; *Ben Cao Gang Mu*, p. 1359)
