明头疼，行阳明之经络。乳汁不通、乳岩、乳痈红肿疼痛。暴赤火眼、目疾疼痛、祛风明目、
隐涩羞明怕日。伤风、寒热咳嗽，老痰如胶。走经络，止面寒腹疼，利小便 单腹胀。治风
火牙根肿痛。
（附方） 治头风疼。
旋覆花（一钱） 白菊（一钱） 川芎（一钱） 细辛（一钱） 黄芩（一钱） 羌活
（一钱） 引用生姜一片 水煎服。
（又方） 治乳岩、乳痈、吹乳肿疼。

酒为引，水煎

旋覆花 杏仁 陈皮 知母 前胡 荆芥穗 引用灯心草，水煎服。
（又方） 治面寒疼。
旋覆花根 水牛肉 水酒为引，煎服。
（又方） 治单腹胀。
旋覆花 鲤鱼 将鱼肠去净，药入鱼内，煎服。小便利，肿胀即消。
（又方） 治风火牙疼。
二、三月采旋覆花为末，搽牙根上。良久，去其痰涎，疼立止。

水朝阳草，味甘、辛，无毒。生水内，似鼓槌草，包叶，初生子，花朝阳，叶尖长大，
梗紫绿绵软，独苗。采取煮硫磺成汞，研粉，红色为丸，不论百病，服此硫磺丸神效。一名
万宝丹，一名纯阳丹，此丹救一切百病，药到病安，其效如神。

Inula Flower (Xuanfu Hua), with a bitter and salty taste, slightly warm in nature, and possessing slight toxicity. It dispels wind-cold pathogens affecting the head and eyes, relieves headaches of the Taiyang (Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian) and Yangming (Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian) meridians, and promotes the circulation of the Yangming meridian collaterals. It is used for treating milk stasis, Ru Yan (breast tumors), and Ru Yong (breast abscesses characterized by redness, swelling, and pain). It treats sudden acute red-eye conditions, eye diseases causing pain, dispels wind to brighten the eyes, and alleviates sensations of ocular dryness, photophobia, and aversion to sunlight. It addresses wind-cold injuries, alternating chills and fever with coughing, and old phlegm that is sticky like glue. It circulates through the meridians, relieves abdominal pain caused by cold in the face, promotes urination, and treats Dan Zhang Fu (abdominal distension on one side). It treats swelling and pain of the gums due to wind-fire.
(Attached Formula) For treating Head Wind Pain:
Inula Flower (1 qian), White Chrysanthemum (1 qian), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong, 1 qian), Asarum Root (Xixin, 1 qian), Scutellaria Baicalensis Root (Huangqin, 1 qian), Notopterygium Root (Qianghuo, 1 qian). Use one slice of fresh ginger as an adjuvant; decoct in water and take orally.
(Another Formula) For treating Ru Yan, Ru Yong, and Chuī Rǔ Zhǒng Téng (postpartum breast swelling and pain caused by infant's breath):
Inula Flower (1 qian), Dandelion (Pugongying, 1 qian), Licorice Root Node (Gancao Jie, 8 fen), Angelica Dahurica Root (Baizhi, 1 qian), Green Tangerina Peel (Qingpi, 1 qian). Use water and wine as adjuvants; decoct in water.
(Another Formula) For treating sudden acute red-eye:
Inula Flower (1 qian), Aurantium Fruit (Zhiqiao, 1 qian), White Chrysanthemum (3 qian), Coptis Chinensis Rhizome (Huanglian, 1 qian), Tribulus Terrestris Fruit (Bajili, 3 qian). No adjuvant needed; decoct in water and take orally.
(Another Formula) For treating wind-cold injury and heat-type cough:
Inula Flower, Apricot Seed (Xingren), Aged Tangerina Peel (Chenpi), Anemarrhena Rhizome (Zhimu), Peucedanum Root (Qianhu), Schizonepeta Spike (Jingjie Sui). Use Centum Partum Grass (Dengxincao) as an adjuvant; decoct in water and take orally.
(Another Formula) For treating facial pain due to cold:
Inula Flower Root, Water Buffalo Meat. Use water and wine as adjuvants; decoct and take orally.
(Another Formula) For treating Dan Zhang Fu (unilateral abdominal distension):
Inula Flower, Carp. Clean out the fish intestines thoroughly, place the herbs inside the fish, decoct and take orally. Once urination becomes smooth, the swelling will subside immediately.
(Another Formula) For treating wind-fire toothache:
Harvest Inula Flower in the second or third lunar month, grind into powder, and apply to the gum roots. After some time, remove the saliva and phlegm; the pain stops immediately.

Shui Zhaoyang Cao (Water Sun-Facing Herb), with a sweet and pungent taste, non-toxic. It grows in water, resembling Drumstick Grass (Guchui Cao), with wrapped leaves. When newly sprouted, its flowers face the sun; the leaves are pointed, long, and broad; the stems are purple-green, soft, and fibrous, growing as a single stalk. By processing it with sulfur to produce mercury, grinding it into powder, and forming red pills, it serves as a miraculous remedy for various ailments. Also known as Wanbao Dan (Ten Thousand Treasures Pill) and Chunyang Dan (Pure Yang Pill), this pill can cure all sorts of diseases; where the medicine reaches, the illness subsides, with efficacy as if divine.
