Its nature moves through the Yang meridians, also traversing the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel) and Du Mai (Governing Vessel), unblocking the Twelve Primary Meridians; it distinguishes Yin and Yang, promotes urination, and clears internal heat. Long-term use extends life and benefits longevity, generates body fluids, nourishes the Lung, moistens the Five Zang organs, and clears the Six Fu organs, darkening beard hair and blackening head hair.

It mainly treats severe toxins of sores and carbuncles, condyloma latum (syphilitic gumma), and toxic eruptions from smallpox or boils. Its efficacy is miraculous. Mei Hua Cao (Plumbago zeylanica), resembling plum blossoms, with small flowers, growing on rocky cliffs. The taste is sweet and bitter. Non-toxic. It treats women's metrorrhagia and blood stasis masses, disperses Qi stagnation, unblocks meridians, and promotes diuresis; it resolves cold pain in the stomach and internal hernias or abdominal masses (Zheng Jia); for food retention leading to epigastric fullness (Pi), hardness, and pain, taking it brings immediate recovery.
