Jichang Yelangdu (Wild Wolf Poison with Chicken Intestine Shape), also known as Geshanxiao (Mountain-Parting Eliminator) and Shunshuilong (Smooth-Water Dragon), derives its name "Yelangdu" from its potent nature resembling that of tigers and wild wolves. Its taste is bitter, pungent, and numbing; its nature is slightly cold. It is toxic. Its action is descending. It primarily treats the promotion of water passages, elimination of edema, killing of parasites, and attack on stagnation within the intestines and stomach. This herb eliminates edema with rapid effect.

Daye Langdu (Large Wild Wolf Poison), those with white-green stalks are effective, while those with purple stalks are ineffective. Its taste is bitter and numbing; its nature is warm. It has great toxicity. It must not be used for internal medicinal preparation. It is applied externally to treat scabies and leprosy-like sores. Grind into a fine powder, add a small amount of Sichuan pepper powder, or mix with sesame oil or lard for external application. Avoid wind exposure. If wind is not avoided, it causes skin swelling and collapse.
Tugua Yelangdu (Earth Melon Wild Wolf Poison), its taste is bitter and numbing; its nature is warm. It is toxic. Its action is sinking. It primarily treats pushing out long-standing stagnation in the stomach, directing Qi downward. It treats stomach Qi pain, food accumulation and stagnation, eliminates edema, breaks blood stasis, expels parasite accumulation, and resolves phlegm toxins. The nature of this herb is fierce and brave, truly like a tiger or wild wolf. Ru (a specific part or related plant), its aroma and taste are pungent, and its nature is cold and neutral. It treats bone and tendon pain, flaccidity and weakness of the limbs, poison flowing into the meridians, and all kinds of sores, with miraculous effects.

Shehancao (Snake-Holding Grass), grows in fields near water sources. It has soft branches and thin vines, green leaves, and produces red fruits that are bright and resemble lychees. Fresh and moist specimens are preferred. Its aroma and taste are sweet; its nature is neutral. It is non-toxic. It primarily treats removing evil Qi from the heart and abdomen, damp-bi syndrome, carbuncles, hemorrhoids, scrofula, malignant sores, and poisoning from snake, scorpion, and bee stings. Crush into a paste. For those suffering from epidemic fevers, taking it can also resolve the toxin. It also treats gu poison. Collect the leaves, dry them, and grind into powder. Store in ceramic vessels, sealing with yellow beeswax. When children suffer from insect poisoning, blow the powder into their nostrils, and the insects will naturally exit through the nose. In cases of stroke resulting in loss of consciousness, administering it orally leads to immediate recovery. For epidemic fevers, blowing the powder helps resolve the condition. Applying it to unknown swellings and toxins yields immediate results.
