[Iron Brush Decoction] Indicated for men and women suffering from all types of Yin-cold-induced seminal emission, deteriorated complexion, pain in the lower back and knees, continuous sweating in the genital area, blood in the stool due to intestinal wind, and hemorrhoidal fistulas with a head (i.e., those not yet suppurated or in early stages) which can be dissipated.
Ingredients: Zixiaohua (Ceratostigma Root, *Ceratostigma plumbaginoides* root, preferably in lumps with pedicels), selected Rougui (Cinnamon Bark, *Cinnamomi Cortex*), Dadingxiang (Clove, *Syzygii Flos*), Chuangzizi (Cnidium Fruit, *Cnidii Fructus*), Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, *Evodiae Fructus*) (each 1 liang), Shanzhuyu (Cornus Fruit, *Corni Fructus*, pitted), Tianxiong (Aconitum Lateralis Radix Praeparata, processed lateral root of *Aconitum carmichaelii*), Congrong (Cistanche Stem, *Cistanches Herba*), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix) (each 2 qian).
Pulverize the above ingredients into coarse powder. For each decoction, use for fumigation and washing of the affected area.
[Processed Apricot Kernels] Indicated for elderly individuals with physical debility, deficiency-cold of Yuan Qi (Primordial Qi), deficiency-slippage of the Zang-Fu organs, cold pain and heaviness in the lower back and legs, reduced appetite, and cold extremities that are unbearable. Use this formula.
Ingredients: Da Fuzi (Large Prepared Aconite Root, *Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata*, one piece, processed), Wuzhuyu (Evodia Fruit, *Evodiae Fructus*), Guipi (Cinnamon Bark, *Cinnamomi Cortex*), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Chuangzizi (Cnidium Fruit, *Cnidii Fructus*) (each half liang), Malinhua (Iris Pallas Flower, *Iridis Pallidae Flos*, 1 liang, baked/dried).
Pulverize the above ingredients into fine powder. For each application, take half a spoonful of medicine, half a spoonful of white flour, and half a cup of fresh ginger juice. Decoct together until it forms a paste. Spread onto paper and apply to the umbilicus before retiring. Cover with oiled paper.
Additionally, apply to the Yao Yan (Kidney Eye, specific acupoint area near the lumbar region).
Regular consumption strengthens Yuan Yang (Primordial Yang), benefits Jing-Qi (Essence and Qi), assists the Stomach, and moistens the Lungs.
Ingredients: Niu Sui (Bovine Marrow, *Bovis Medulla*, 4 liang, impurities removed), Hetao (Walnut Kernel, *Juglandis Semen*, 4 liang, skin and shell removed), Xingren (Apricot Kernel, *Armeniacae Semen Amarum*, 4 liang, skin and tip removed), Shanyao (Dioscorea Rhizome, *Dioscoreae Rhizoma*, half jin).
First, pound the three ingredients—Xingren, Hetao, and Shanyao—into a paste. Add 1 jin of honey, refine to remove white foam, and mix evenly with Bovine Marrow. Place in a porcelain jar and boil in water for one day.
[General Formula for Red and White Turbidity] Indicated for general treatment of red and white turbid discharge (Chibi Zhuo).
Ingredients: Zhen Longgu (True Dragon Bone, *Fossilium Os et Dentis*, authentic source), Chensha (Cinnabar, *Cinnabaris), Nong Muli (Thick Oyster Shell, *Ostreae Concha*, wrapped heavily in old grass shoes, fixed with fire calcination, and finely ground), Shichangpu (Acorus Rhizome, *Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma*), Chuanlianzi (Szechwan Chinaberry Fruit, *Meliae Fructus*) (each 2.5 qian; Chuanlianzi is baked).
Grind the above ingredients into powder. Use stir-fried, crushed Shanyao powder mixed with water as a binder to make pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take 50 pills per dose. During the day, swallow with decoction of Renshen (Ginseng Root, *Ginseng Radix*) and Suanzaoren (Ziziphus Seed, *Zizyphi Spinosi Semen*). Before retiring, swallow with rice gruel soup.
[Another Preparation]
Ingredients: Xingren (Apricot Kernel, 1 jin, using true apricot kernels from Prunus armeniaca varieties grown on Elaeagnus rootstock), Cangzhu (Atractylodes Rhizome, *Atractylodis Rhizoma*, 1 jin), Baisha Mi (White Sand Honey, *Mel*, 2 jin), Cangzhu (Atractylodes Rhizome, 1 liang, coarse skin removed, soaked in rice wash water overnight).
Wash the Xingren with hot water and place them in a jar. Pound 1 jin of raw Cangzhu into coarse powder. Boil in water for 100-200 boils. Use the decoction to soak the Xingren. Add half a jin of honey. Store in a porcelain jar.
