Fabei toxic sores: Mix flour with water to form a ring, encircling the base of the sore. Place thin slices of yellow beeswax flat inside the sore to prevent leakage. Roast over charcoal fire until it melts and turns bluish-green; this indicates the discharge of toxic vapors. Repeat this procedure three to five times until the color of the beeswax no longer changes, at which point the sore will subside.
Fabei (Back Carbuncle): Ru Xiang (Boswelliae Resina, Frankincense, de-oiled), Mo Yao (Myrrhae Resina, Myrrh, de-oiled), Bai Er Cha (Catechu), Yin Zhu (Cinnabar), Zhen Ding Fen (Lead Carbonate), Huang Dan (Litharge, each 4 liang), Tong Lv (Chlorocopper Acetate, 3 qian). Grind all ingredients into an extremely fine powder. According to the size of the sore, use perforated Jialian Si oil paper. Weigh 5 qian of medicine per sheet, mix with genuine sesame oil to spread onto the paper. Sew the edges with thread, apply to the affected area, and bind externally with soft silk. This naturally relieves pain, resolves putrefaction, and generates new tissue. Replace every three days. For Duikou Fa (Opposite Mouth Carbuncle on the neck), prepare as an ointment for external application.
Fabei: Roast large dog teeth until charred black, grind into fine powder, and apply to the site; the effect is miraculous.
Another prescription: Take a handful of hair from any male or female patient, add one jin of genuine sesame oil, and boil until the hair dissolves. Have the patient drink this decoction; the toxic vapors will gradually dissipate, preventing fatal outcomes.
Chen Shigong stated: "Duixin Fa" arises on the back, directly opposite the anterior heart region. This condition is caused by reckless movement of Heart Fire leading to extreme heat. The Heart is the official of the sovereign; how can it tolerate invasion by toxic pathogens? Indeed, when toxins invade the Sovereign's seat, they are most likely to harm the person. The lesion obstructs the Du Meridian, causing severe damage. Moreover, the Heart is the master of the whole body; accumulated heat throughout the body converges here, forming the pathology. Furthermore, this acupoint area on the spine is often uneven and pitted, making it difficult for the abscess to rise. The sore shape is sunken, and swelling is not high or pointed. Treatment should focus on drastically reducing Heart Fire and urgently dispersing accumulated heat. The apex should be punctured with a needle, followed immediately by extraction methods. It is essential to ensure that toxic vapors are ventilated both internally and externally, exiting through their respective pathways, thereby preventing internal attack on the organs. Only then is it considered a sound defensive treatment. After fifteen days, if there are no internal complications and pus forms, it is auspicious. If, upon reaching the deadline, complications arise, the hardness increases, and no pus forms, death will occur, typically around the twenty-second day.
