From the onset of punishment by beating, scalding by fire and water, to self-mutilation by cutting, hanging, drowning, and possession by evil spirits, all these conditions are compiled in this section for easy reference and treatment.
In the world, many situations are beyond one's control; unexpected disasters befall individuals, making heavy punishments inevitable. Suffering such extreme penalties, what desire cannot be met? Yet grievances often remain unredressed, leading to chronic ailments in the lower legs and shins. This section is established specifically to rescue people from such misery. Among them, only the formula "Iron Shirt" (Tie Bu Shan) possesses extraordinary efficacy. (Added)
Secret Recipe: Mince raw beef into four cakes. Place fourteen grains of pepper in each cake. Apply to the bruised area caused by leg clamps. Wrap tightly with new cotton. One night later, walking ability will be restored.
Iron Shirt Pills: Take in advance before interrogation. They prevent pain during torture and protect life.

Immediately upon leaving the yamen, soak feet in a basin of hot urine from an uncircumcised boy. If the urine cools, drop two bricks heated red-hot into it to reheat. Soak continuously until white foam floats on the surface of the urine; the injury will then dissipate completely, stopping swelling and pain.
Next, pound soapberry into a paste, mix with egg white, apply to the wound, wrap with straw paper, bind the foot tightly, and keep immobile for three days for effect.
