菊花甘草汤（《十法》） 治疔之圣药也。
菊花（四两） 甘草（四钱）
水煎顿服，渣再煎服。
反唇疔、擎珠疔 经霜南瓜蒂 灰，加冰片少许研细，麻油调搓。
马口疔，生唇下者是 新鲜鲢鱼血磨蟾酥涂之。
拔疔法
巴豆（去壳，半粒） 磁石（研末）
用葱涎和蜜为膏，敷疔上。
血疔，出血不止者是 真麻油一盅，服下自止。
蟾酥饼 兼治脑疽、乳痈、附骨疽、臀痈一切恶证，或不痛，或大痛，或麻木，用此敷贴疮头。
潮脑 朱砂（各一钱） 真蟾酥（酒化） 没药（去油） 乳香（去油） 明雄黄 巴豆霜（各二钱）
轻粉（五分） 麝香（三分）
以上各为细末，五月五日午时在净室中用蟾酥酒和丸如绿豆大，每用一丸，口
涎调贴疔疮上，以膏盖之。此药为丸、为条、为饼，听便使用。一方去巴豆霜、潮
脑，加寒水石（ ）、枯矾、胆矾各一钱，蜗牛二十一个。
恶疔大毒。
金银花 当归身（各五钱） 天花纷 甘草 地丁（各三钱） 皂角针（二钱） 川椒（九粒） 酒煎服。
疔毒恶疮 家菊花并叶共捣汁，用酒冲服。将渣加盐少许敷上立愈，冬月用根亦可。
又方 紫梗菊花捣碎，白酒煎服。
又方 鲥鱼鳞用荷花瓣夹好，置书页中，遇疔粘贴即愈。
大疔恶毒秘方
火硝 北煤（系用过倒地上，渣内捡出者。各等分）
研细末，瓷瓶收贮。凡遇一切疔毒，用陈窗糊纸水湿掩疔上，再以此药敷之，疔根自出。
疔疮神方 苍耳草根、叶捣烂，入童子小便，绞汁冷服一盅，日三次。仍以
根、茎、叶、苗任取一束，烧灰存性为末，用醋、泔、蓝、靛和如泥，先将疮中心及
四边刺破，令血淌出，拭净敷之，不过十次，根即拔出，为诸方第一。
飞龙夺命丹（《正宗》） 专治疔疮及痈毒发背，脑发乳痈，一切无名肿毒，恶疮
及有头不知痛痒者，已成未成神效。
蟾酥（酒化） 雄黄（各三钱） 乳香（去油） 没药（去油） 铜绿（各二钱） 胆矾 朱砂 血竭
寒水石（各一钱） 当门子 冰片 轻粉（各五分） 蜗牛（二十一个） 蜈蚣（一条，酒浸泡、炙，去头、足）
上俱为极细末，用蜗牛连壳研如泥，少加飞罗面，和丸如绿豆大。每用三丸，用
白葱三个，令病患嚼烂，吐于男左女右手心，将丸药放在葱内，热酒送下，被盖约
人行五六里，出汗为效；无汗以热酒助之。重者再进一服。病在上食远服，病在下食
前服。忌冷水、瓜茄、油腻、猪、鸡、鱼、面及一切发物。孕妇忌服。
走马回疔丹 疔疮初起，针破，用此一粒插入孔内，膏盖之，次后追出脓血疔根为效。
朱砂 雄黄（各二钱） 蟾酥（酒化） 砂 白丁香 轻粉（各一钱） 蜈蚣（一条，炙） 金顶砒
麝香（各五分） 乳香（六分）
上为细末，糊和成如麦子大，插疮内，以膏盖之。
铅粉散 冷疔生于脚上，初起紫白泡，疼痛彻骨，渐至腐烂，深孔紫黑，血
水气秽，经久不瘥，用此大效。
黑铅（四两，铁杓内化开，倾入水中，取起再化，如此百遍，以铅尽为度，去水取澄下者。三钱） 松脂
（一钱） 黄丹（飞、炒） 轻粉（各五分） 麝香（三分）
共研细，先用葱汤洗净，麻油调搽疮口，油纸盖好。
束毒金箍散 疔疮针刺之后，余毒走散作肿，宜此药箍之
生大黄 郁金（蝉肚者） 白芨 白蔹 白芷（各四两） 黄柏（二两） 绿豆粉（一两） 轻粉（五钱）
共为细末。酸米浆调箍四边，夏热甚，用蜜水调。
消疔简便方 疔疮及诸恶毒初起，但未成脓者，服之神效。
白矾（研，三钱） 葱白（七茎）
上二味同捣极烂，分作七块，每块用热酒一杯送下，服毕用浓被盖之，再进葱
白汤一盅。少顷汗出如淋，从容去其覆物，其病如脱。此虽味涩难服，其效甚妙。凡
居乡村之处，遇有此证，不及延医，只传此方，服之活人甚众，诚为良便方也。
敷疔。
银朱（三钱） 红枣（七个煮烂去皮核） 捣敷留顶。
疔。
甘松 三柰（各五钱） 雄黄（研细，一钱） 麝香（一分）
酒水各半，先煎甘松、三柰，煎好滤清，调雄黄、麝香服。
红丝疔 用铜钱扪头处，将木上旧钉起一根，用棉花包裹，蘸桐油点着，令油滴钱眼内，一滴即愈。
疔疮 生葱和蜜捣敷患处，过一饭时，疔即拔出。
保生梃子 疔疮、背疽、瘰疠，一切恶疮。
巴豆（四十九粒，文武火炒，研） 砂（三钱） 轻粉（半大匣） 金脚信 雄黄（各三钱） 麝香（一钱）
为极细末。用黄蜡五钱熔开，将药合成梃子，冷水浸少时取出，旋丸捏作饼子
如钱眼大，将疮头拨开，安一饼于顶上，次用膏贴。
蟾酥丹 蟾酥不拘多少，黄丹、白面等分，为丸如麦粒大，针破疔疮，以一粒纳之，膏盖。
散疔膏 磁石乳细，以葱头十四根取汁，入蜜少许调匀，敷留一孔。一敷即散，
妙不可言。内服托里药。
拔疔 蜣螂腹下有一白点者即心也。先以针刺破疔头，再将针取出蜣螂心
点疔头上，以膏盖之。半日间血出，根拔而愈。忌羊肉。
一切疔肿（孙真人）。一色苍耳草连梗叶烧灰，以醋调搽。干即再搽，重者十余次。
吃牛肉中毒生疔 金线重楼即七叶一枝花，不拘多少，切碎，研细，和溏鸡屎调匀搽上，立效。
疔疮怕动刀针 巴豆仁一粒，饭一粒，研贴疮上，立时拔出疔根，再寻癞蛤蟆取肝粘贴，神效。
诸疔 菊花叶捣汁服一碗，死可回生。
疔毒已笃者二服即愈。（潘霞山。）
土蜂房（一具） 蛇蜕（一条）
黄泥固济烧存性为末，每空心好酒服一钱，少刻大痛，痛止，其疮已化为黄水。
烂头疔。
白梅（二个） 大蜒蚰（二条） 白菊花根（一把）
共捣烂，加透明雄黄同敷，如干再另敷一二遍，无不愈者。
扎马疔 切不可食肉，生白酒煎 草、紫花地丁、车前草服之。
追疔夺命汤（《赤水玄珠》）
羌活 甘草节 蝉蜕 川黄连 独活 北细辛 青皮 金银花 防风 泽兰叶
僵蚕 金线重楼 赤芍（各等分）
有脓加何首乌、白芷；要通利加大黄、牵牛、青木香、山栀；毒在下加木瓜各等分。
每服五钱，先将一贴加泽兰叶、金银花各一两，姜十片煎热服，汗出为度；病
退再加大黄二钱，煎，热服，取利一二次，去余毒为妙。此方取效如神，百发百中。若
心烦呕吐，用甘草节、绿豆粉各等分，酸浆汤调下二钱；如呕逆恶心，用乳香、绿
豆粉各等分，甘草汤调下二钱。
小夺命散 治疔疮及脑疽、恶毒，其效如神。
槐花子 地丁 千头子（即扫帚子，又名地肤子，各等分）
水煎，通口温服，加真蟾酥少许尤妙。
拔疔丹（一名疔毒撤回。毕峻功。）凡一切疔疮，无名肿毒，初起磨敷，已成已溃，用
一粒放疮上，脓血即拔出，如遇阴疽对口大证，可用十数粒铺疮上，如神。
巴豆霜 乳香（去油） 没药（去油） 真蟾酥（酒化开，乳成膏） 明雄（各二钱） 樟冰 露蜂
房（阴阳瓦焙存性） 劈朱砂（各一钱） 真轻粉 当门子（各五分）
上各乳极细，照分两称准和匀，以蟾酥膏和杵为丸如药珠大，晒干瓷瓶密贮任
用。（此即蟾酥饼原方加露蜂房也。）
疔疮丸（马骥功得自卢成琰传。）专消一切疔疮，兼治湿痰流注，梅疮初起。
巴豆仁（去皮、膜） 明雄 生大黄（各三钱）
共研细末，加飞面醋打糊为丸，如金凤花子大，每服二十三丸，热汤送下，泻
三四次无妨，弱人只服十九丸自消，得嚏即愈。
髭疔 红丝疔、面白疔，肿胀至目与鼻俱隐入肉里，牙关紧急。昔有一道人
用患者耳垢、齿垢，刮手足指甲屑，和匀如豆大，放茶匙内，灯火上炙，少许取作
丸，将银簪将疔头挑开抹入，用棉纸一层，津湿覆之，痛立止，半日目可开，肿已消
半，次日服活命饮，二剂遂愈。
血疔，或生肘下，或生眼角，疔有一窍如针眼，淌鲜血不止。真香油四两，无
灰酒不拘多少，和匀热服，其血立止。随用野菊花浓煎常服，切忌茶汤。
万灵夺命丹 治一切疔毒入腹，烦
闷恶心，兼治痈疽发背、恶疮。
朱砂（水飞） 蟾酥（人乳泡） 轻粉 胆矾（各五钱） 铜绿 血竭（各一两） 雄黄 枯矾（各二两）
共为细末，面糊丸，芡实大，每服一丸，令病患先将葱白三寸嚼烂，吐在手心，将丸包在葱内，热汤吞下，出汗。
疔。
生磁石（一钱） 麝香（一分）
研极细，每用少许膏盖。
又方
胡椒（二十五粒） 大独蒜（一个） 葱白（三根）
共捣烂，油纸上作膏贴之，神验。
秘方 用铁钉放屋上受风露之气，日久上锈，以刀刮下，乳极细，加麝香少
许，瓷瓶密贮。如遇疔疮已破者，掺少许即流黑水，不过三次，疔根自出。如未破者，以水调点疔上，即可拔疔如神。
疔疮不用刀针。（杜宝山。）
萆麻仁（七粒） 银朱（一分）
共研细，如干，加唾津少许，疔头让出，即周遭敷之，两三次即出小黄头矣。
拔疔第一方（徐峨峰。）
萆麻仁（四十九粒半） 杏仁（去皮，十七粒半） 松香（二两一钱五分） 荔枝肉（三个半） 银朱（少许）
共捣成膏贴之。
拔疔。（吴韵清。）
荔枝肉（一个） 溏鸡屎 菊花根叶（不拘多少）
共捣烂敷上，立愈。
又方 鲥鱼鳞贴之。
Juhua Gancao Tang (Chrysanthemum and Licorice Decoction) (from *Shifa*) is the sacred medicine for treating Dingchuang (furuncle/boil).
Chrysanthemi Flos (4 liang) Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (4 qian)
Decoct in water and take in one dose; decoct the dregs again and take.
For Fanlip Ding (reverse lip furuncle) and Qingzhu Ding (pearl-bearing furuncle): Use ash from pumpkin pedicles that have been frosted by frost, add a small amount of Borneolum Syntheticum (Bingpian), grind into fine powder, mix with Sesami Oleum (Mayou) and rub on the affected area.
For Makou Ding (furuncle at the horse's mouth, i.e., below the lower lip): Grind fresh blood of Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (Lianyu) with Chan Su (Toad Venom) and apply.
Method to Extract Ding Root
Crotonis Fructus (remove shell, half grain) Magnetitum (grind into powder)
Mix with juice of Allii Cepae (scallion) and Mel (honey) to form a paste, apply on the Ding.
For Xueding (blood furuncle, characterized by unceasing bleeding): Take one zhong of genuine Sesami Oleum (Mayou); bleeding will stop naturally.
Chan Su Bing (Toad Venom Cake): Also treats Naoju (brain carbuncle), Ruyong (breast abscess), Fusujü (osteomyelitis), Tunyong (buttock abscess) and all other malignant conditions, whether painless, severely painful, or numb. Apply this paste to the head of the sore.
Naonao Cinnabaris (each 1 qian) Chan Su (dissolved in wine) Myrrha (remove oil) Boswelliae Resina (remove oil) Realgar Baodou Shuang (Croton Seed Frost, each 2 qian) Calomelas (5 fen) Moschus (3 fen)
Grind each ingredient into fine powder separately. On the noon hour of the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, in a clean room, mix with Chan Su dissolved in wine to make pills the size of mung beans. For each use, take one pill, mix with saliva, apply to the Dingchuang, and cover with a plaster. This medicine can be made into pills, strips, or cakes as needed. Another prescription removes Baodou Shuang and Naonao, adds Hanyuishi (Calcitum), Gubai (Alumen Exsiccatum), and Danfan (Vitriol) each 1 qian, and 21 snails.
Eding (malignant furuncle) has extreme toxicity.
Jinyinhua (Honeysuckle Flower) Danggui Shen (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, body part) each 5 qian Tianhuafen (Trichosanthis Radix) Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Dideng (Cirsii Japonici Herba) each 3 qian Zaojiaozhen (Gleditsiae Spina) 2 qian Chuanjiao (Sichuan Pepper) 9 grains
Decoct in wine and take.
Dingdu Echuang (toxic furuncle and malignant sore): Crush home-grown Chrysanthemi Flos and its leaves together to extract juice, take with wine. Add a little salt to the dregs, apply to the lesion, and it will heal immediately. In winter, the root can also be used.
Another prescription: Crush Zijug Juhua (Purple-stemmed Chrysanthemum), decoct in white wine and take.
Another prescription: Place scales of Tenualosa reevesii (Shiyu) between lotus petals, place in book pages, and when encountering a Ding, paste it on to heal.
Secret Recipe for Large Malignant Ding
Huoxiao (Saltpeter) Beimei (Northern Coal, referring to coal residue found on the ground after use, equal parts)
Grind into fine powder, store in a porcelain bottle. Whenever encountering any Dingdu, wet old window paper with water from window paste, cover the Ding, then apply this medicine; the Ding root will emerge naturally.
Divine Formula for Dingchuang: Crush roots and leaves of Xanthium sibiricum (Cangercao), add urine of a healthy boy, squeeze out juice, take one zhong cold, three times a day. Still, take a bundle of roots, stems, leaves, and shoots, burn to ash retaining nature, grind into powder, mix with vinegar, rice wash water, indigo mud, and dye to form a paste. First, prick the center and surrounding areas of the sore to let blood flow out, wipe clean, then apply. Within ten applications, the root will be extracted; this is the first among all formulas.
Feilong Duoming Dan (Flying Dragon Life-Rescuing Pill) (from *Zhengzong*): Specifically treats Dingchuang, Yongdu Fabei (carbuncle on back), Naoju (brain carbuncle), Ruyong (breast abscess), all unnamed swellings and toxins, malignant sores, and those with heads but no sensation of pain or itch. It is miraculous whether pus has formed or not.
Chan Su (dissolved in wine) Xionghuang (Realgar) each 3 qian Boswelliae Resina (remove oil) Myrrha (remove oil) Tonglü (Malachite) each 2 qian Danfan Cinnabaris Xuexie (Dragon's Blood) Hanshuishi (Calcitum) each 1 qian Dangmenzi (Moschus) Bingpian (Borneolum) Qingfen (Calomelas) each 5 fen Nuowan (Snail) 21 Wugong (Centipede) 1 (soaked in wine, roasted, remove head and feet)
All ingredients are ground into extremely fine powder. Grind Nuowan with shell into mud, add a little Feiluomian (fine wheat flour), mix and make pills the size of mung beans. Take three pills each time. Have the patient chew three white scallions thoroughly, spit into the left palm (for men) or right palm (for women), place the pill inside the scallion, swallow with hot wine. Cover with blankets and walk about five to six li; sweating indicates efficacy. If no sweat, assist with hot wine. For severe cases, administer another dose. For diseases above, take long after meals; for diseases below, take before meals. Avoid cold water, melons, eggplants, greasy food, pork, chicken, fish, noodles, and all stimulating foods. Pregnant women should avoid taking this.
Zouma Huiting Dan (Running Horse Returning Ding Pill): When Dingchuang first appears, prick with needle, insert one pill into the hole, cover with plaster. Subsequently, draining pus, blood, and Ding root indicates efficacy.
Cinnabaris Xionghuang (each 2 qian) Chan Su (dissolved in wine) Sha (Sand/Mica - likely specific mineral) Bai Dingxiang (White Dried Bud) Qingfen (each 1 qian) Wugong (Centipede) 1 (roasted) Jindingpi (Gold-topped Arsenic) Moschus (each 5 fen) Boswelliae Resina (6 fen)
Grind into fine powder, mix with paste to form pellets the size of wheat grains, insert into the sore, cover with plaster.
Qianfen San (Lead Powder Powder): Lengding (Cold Ding) occurs on the foot, initially presenting as purple-white blisters, pain penetrating to the bone, gradually rotting, forming deep purple-black holes, with foul-smelling bloody fluid, chronic and non-healing. This formula is highly effective.
Heiqian (Black Lead) 4 liang (Melt in iron spoon, pour into water, take out and melt again, repeat 100 times until lead is exhausted, remove water, take the sediment. Dosage: 3 qian) Songzhi (Pine Rosin) 1 qian Huangdan (Minium, flown and fried) Qingfen (each 5 fen) Moschus 3 fen
Grind together into fine powder. First wash with scallion soup, mix with Sesami Oleum (Mayou) and apply to the sore, cover with oiled paper.
Shudu Jingu San (Bind Toxin Gold Hoop Powder): After pricking Dingchuang with needle, if residual toxin spreads causing swelling, use this medicine to bind the periphery.
Sheng Dahuang (Raw Rheum Palmatum) Yujin (Curcumae Radix, best from cicada belly) Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma) Bailian (Trollii Rhizoma) Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix) each 4 liang Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex) 2 liang Lvdou Fen (Mung Bean Powder) 1 liang Qingfen 5 qian
Grind into fine powder. Mix with sour rice slurry to bind the four sides. In hot summer, mix with honey water.
Xiaoding Jianbian Fang (Simple Formula for Eliminating Ding): For Dingchuang and various malignant toxins in early stage, before pus formation, taking this is miraculous.
Baifan (Alumen, ground) 3 qian Congbai (Scallion White) 7 stalks
Crush these two ingredients extremely well, divide into seven pieces. Take one piece with a cup of hot wine. After taking, cover with thick blanket, then drink one zhong of scallion white soup. Soon, sweat profusely like pouring; calmly remove covering. The disease will depart as if shed. Although bitter and hard to take, the effect is wonderful. In rural areas, when medical help is unavailable, transmitting this formula has saved many lives; it is indeed a good and convenient prescription.
Apply to Ding.
Yinzhu (Silver Cinnabar) 3 qian Hongzao (Red Date) 7 (boiled soft, skin and pit removed)
Crush and apply, leaving the top uncovered.
For Ding.
Gansong (Nardostachys Radix) Sannai (Kaempferia Galanga Rhizome) each 5 qian Xionghuang (Realgar, ground) 1 qian Moschus 1 fen
Half wine, half water. First decoct Gansong and Sannai, filter clear liquid after decoction, mix with Xionghuang and Moschus to take.
Hongsi Ding (Red Thread Ding): Press the head with a copper coin, pull out an old nail from wood, wrap in cotton, dip in Tung Oil, ignite, let oil drop into the coin's hole. One drop cures.
Dingchuang: Crush raw scallion and honey, apply to affected area. After one meal time, Ding root is extracted.
Baosheng Tingzi (Life-Preserving Stick): Treats Dingchuang, Beijü (back carbuncle), Luoli (scrofula), and all malignant sores.
Crotonis Fructus (49 grains, stir-fry with mild and strong fire, grind) Sha (3 qian) Qingfen (half large box) Jinjiaoxin (Arsenic compound) Xionghuang (each 3 qian) Moschus 1 qian
Grind into extremely fine powder. Melt 5 qian Huangla (Yellow Wax), mix medicine to form sticks. Soak in cold water briefly, take out, shape into cakes the size of a coin hole. Open the sore head slightly, place one cake on top, then cover with plaster.
Chan Su Dan (Toad Venom Pill): Chan Su amount unspecified, mix equally with Huangdan (Minium) and Baomian (White Flour), make pills the size of wheat grains. Prick Dingchuang, insert one pill, cover with plaster.
San Ding Gao (Disperse Ding Paste): Grind Magnetitum finely, extract juice from 14 scallion heads, add little honey, mix evenly, apply leaving one pore open. Disperses upon application, miracle beyond words. Internally take Tuoli medicines (supporting interior herbs).
Extract Ding: There is a white spot under the abdomen of Qianglang (Dung Beetle), which is its heart. First prick the Ding head with needle, remove needle, touch the Ding head with the beetle's heart point, cover with plaster. Blood comes out in half a day, root extracted, cured. Avoid mutton.
All Ding Swellings (Sun Simiao's Prescription): Burn one type of Xanthium herb including stems and leaves to ash, mix with vinegar to apply. Reapply when dry, heavy cases require over ten times.
Ding caused by beef poisoning toxicity: Jinxian Chonglou (Paris polyphylla, Seven-leaf-One-Spoke), amount unspecified, chop, grind fine, mix with loose chicken feces, apply, immediate effect.
Dingchuang fears knives and needles: One Crotonis Fructus Ren (kernel) and one grain of rice, grind and paste on sore, immediately extracts Ding root. Then find a toad, take its liver, paste on, miraculous.
Various Dings: Crush Chrysanthemi Folium (Chrysanthemum leaf), take one bowl of juice; even if dead, can revive.
For severe Dingdu, two doses cure. (Pan Xiashan.)
Tu Fengfang (Earth Beehive) 1 She Tui (Snake Slough) 1
Seal with yellow mud, roast until carbonized, grind to powder. Take 1 qian with good wine on empty stomach. Shortly after, severe pain occurs; after pain stops, sore turns into yellow fluid.
Rotting Head Ding.
Baimi (White Plum) 2 Dayanyou (Large Slug) 2 Bai Juhua Gen (White Chrysanthemum Root) 1 handful
Crush together, add transparent Xionghuang, apply. If dry, reapply once or twice; all will heal.
Zham Ding (Horse-Tying Ding): Must not eat meat. Decoct Cheqiancao (Plantago Herb), Zihuadi Ding (Viola Herb), Cheqiancao in raw white wine and take.
Zhui Ding Duoming Tang (Pursuing Ding Life-Rescuing Decoction) (from *Chishui Xuanzhu*)
Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix) Gancao Jie (Licorice Joint) Chantui (Cicada Slough) Chuan Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma) Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix) Bei Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride) Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) Zelan Ye (Prunellae Spica Leaf) Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus) Jinxian Chonglou (Paris Polyphylla) Chi Shao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra) (equal parts)
If pus exists, add Heshouwu (Polygoni Multiflori Radix), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix); for purgation, add Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Qianniu (Pharbitidis Semen), Qingmuxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Shanzhi (Gardeniae Fructus); if toxin is below, add Mugua (Chaenomelis Fructus), equal parts.
Take 5 qian each dose. First, take one portion adding Zelan Ye and Jinyinhua each 1 liang, 10 slices of Ginger, decoct hot and take until sweating; as disease recedes, add Dahuang 2 qian, decoct, take hot, induce defecation one or two times to remove residual toxin. This formula works miraculously, never failing. If irritability and vomiting occur, mix Gancao Jie and Lvdou Fen equally, take 2 qian with Suanjiang Tang (sour bean soup); if nausea and retching, mix Rushen (Frankincense) and Lvdou Fen equally, take 2 qian with Gancao Tang (Licorice decoction).
Xiao Duoming San (Small Life-Rescuing Powder): Treats Dingchuang, Naoju, and malignant toxins; effect is miraculous.
Huaihua Zi (Sophorae Flos) Dideng (Cirsii Japonici Herba) Qiantouzi (Sweepgrass Seed, i.e., Kochiae Fructus) (equal parts)
Decoct in water, take warm through mouth. Adding a little real Chan Su is especially good.
Ba Ding Dan (Extract Ding Pill) (Also named Dingdu Huixue, Bi Jungong's formula): For all Dingchuang, unnamed swellings and toxins, grind and apply in early stage; if formed or ulcerated, place one pill on sore, pus and blood will be extracted. For severe Yinju Duikou (carbuncle at nape), use dozens of pills spread on sore, miraculous.
Baodou Shuang (Croton Frost) Boswelliae Resina (remove oil) Myrrha (remove oil) Zhen Chan Su (dissolved in wine, emulsified into paste) Ming Xionghuang (each 2 qian) Zhangbing (Camphor) Lubifang (Honeycomb, roasted on yin-yang tiles until carbonized) Pizhusha (Split Cinnabar) (each 1 qian) Zhen Qingfen (True Calomelas) Dangmenzi (Moschus) (each 5 fen)
Grind each extremely fine, weigh accurately according to dosage, mix evenly. Use Chan Su paste to knead into pills the size of medicinal beads, dry in sun, store tightly in porcelain bottle for use. (This is the original Chan Su Bing formula plus Lubifang.)
Dingchuang Wan (Dingchuang Pill) (Obtained by Ma Jigong from Lu Chengyan): Specifically eliminates all Dingchuang, also treats Wet Phlegm Liuzhu (flowing accumulation), early stage Meichuang (syphilis).
Baodou Ren (Croton Kernel, remove skin and membrane) Ming Xionghuang (Realgar) Sheng Dahuang (Raw Rheum) (each 3 qian)
Grind fine, add Feimian (flown flour), make paste with vinegar, form pills the size of Golden Phoenix flower seeds. Take 23 pills each time, swallow with hot water. Diarrhea 3-4 times is acceptable; weak persons take only 19 pills to self-resolve. Sneezing indicates cure.
Zi Ding (Beard Furuncle), Hongsi Ding (Red Thread Ding), Bai Mian Ding (White Face Ding): Swelling extends to eyes and nose, sinking into flesh, jaw locked tight. Once, a Daoist priest used patient's earwax and tooth tartar, scraped fingernail/toenail clippings, mixed evenly to bean-size, placed in tea spoon, roasted over lamp flame, took small amount to make pill. Used silver hairpin to open Ding head, smear pill inside, cover with one layer of moistened cotton paper. Pain stopped immediately, eyes could open after half day, swelling reduced by half. Next day, take Huoming Yin (Living Fate Decoction), two doses cured.
Xueding (Blood Ding), occurring below elbow or at eye corner, has a pore like a needle eye, flowing fresh blood ceaselessly. Take 4 liang genuine Sesami Oleum (Mayou) and unlimited Wu Hui Jiu (pure wine without turbidity), mix evenly, take hot; bleeding stops immediately. Follow with frequent consumption of strong decoction of Ye Juhua (Wild Chrysanthemum). Strictly avoid tea and water.
Wanling Duoming Dan (Ten Thousand Spirits Life-Rescuing Pill): Treats all Dingdu entering abdomen, irritability, nausea; also treats Yongju Fabei (carbuncle on back), malignant sores.
Cinnabaris (water-flown) Chan Su (soaked in human milk) Qingfen (Calomelas) Danfan (Vitriol) (each 5 qian) Tonglü (Malachite) Xuexie (Dragon's Blood) (each 1 liang) Xionghuang (Realgar) Gubai (Alumen Exsiccatum) (each 2 liang)
Grind into fine powder, make pills with flour paste, size of Euryale Seed. Take one pill each time. Patient chews 3 cun of scallion white thoroughly, spits into palm, wraps pill in scallion, swallows with hot water, induces sweating.
For Ding.
Sheng Cishi (Raw Magnetitum) 1 qian Moschus 1 fen
Grind extremely fine, apply small amount covered with plaster.
Another prescription
Hujiao (Pepper) 25 grains Da Dusu (Large Single Garlic Clove) 1 Congbai (Scallion White) 3 stalks
Crush together, make paste on oiled paper, apply, miraculous.
Secret Recipe: Place iron nail on roof to receive wind and dew, rust forms over time. Scrape off rust, grind extremely fine, add little Moschus, store tightly in porcelain bottle. If encountering broken Dingchuang, sprinkle a little, black water flows; within three times, Ding root emerges. If unbroken, mix with water, dot on Ding, extracts Ding miraculously.
Dingchuang without knife/needle. (Du Baoshan.)
Bima Ren (Castor Bean Kernel) 7 grains Yinzhu (Silver Cinnabar) 1 fen
Grind fine. If dry, add little saliva. Ding head protrudes, apply around periphery. Two or three times, small yellow head appears.
