劈毒立消丹（吴羹相）。治白蛇缠并蛇蝎蜈蚣疯犬咬毒，肿痛垂危者。
雄黄（一钱五分） 麝香 冰片（各一分） 牙硝（二钱）
上药端午时虔诚修合，遇证点男左女右眼大 内。痛一盏茶时即止，其肿渐消，其痛渐止，三日痊愈。
隔纸膏（曹羽文）。雄猪油去皮膜熬化，冷定，入劈毒立消丹，再加麻油二茶
匙，飞丹三钱收用，摊隔纸膏贴之，神效。
又方 鳝鱼血调雄黄末敷上即焦，神效。
又方（秘本）。蛇壳一条 灰存性，坑厕板上浮泥刮下，同研细，用童便调敷数次，一二日即愈。

白芨（八钱） 水龙骨（粪船者妙，一两）
共研细，无根水调敷。
又方 锅脐灰研细，臭淘米泔水脚子调敷。
又方 用紫棉纸三张，作三长条，以火点着，从初起疮上照至疮尾，即将紫棉
纸灰用灯盏油脚调匀搽之。每日一次，三日痊愈。
又方 猪窠草烧灰，麻油调搓。
禁法 取蛇神纸马，（如铺中无此纸马，可用黄团花折成长条状如蛇形，头宽尾细。）放蛇窠疮
上，一面游绕，一面祷祝曰∶家蛇归洞，野蛇上大路。再将各种蛇名随意念几遍，叫
他上大路。（如菜花蛇叫他上大路，赤练蛇叫他上大
路，马梢蛇叫他上大路，水蛇叫他上大路。）祷祝毕，即将蛇纸顺搁患者家歇房门口门槛上，蛇
头向外，取艾团三个，头中尾安三处，用火灸艾，俟艾烧尽，再将蛇纸艾火一同烧
尽，搽疮上即止疼。如未痊愈，次日早晚仍照上法治之，不过三日，疮头干枯，神验。

陈壁土 头发灰（各等分） 麻油调搽。

共为末，香油调搓，不过三次愈。

侧柏叶 黄柏 韭地蚯蚓粪 生大黄（各五钱） 赤小豆 雄黄 轻粉（各三钱）
研细，用新汲水或香油调搽。

又方 干艾叶搓为纸捻，烧烟熏至黄色即住，神效。
又方 灶心土干研，清油调涂。
White Snake String (Herpes Zoster)
Pi Du Li Xiao Dan (Detoxification and Pain-Relieving Pill, by Wu Gengxiang). Treats White Snake coiling around the waist, as well as poisoning caused by bites from snakes, scorpions, centipedes, or mad dogs, presenting with severe swelling, pain, and critical condition.
Xionghuang (Realgar, 1 qian 5 fen) Shexiang (Musk) Bingpian (Borneol) (each 1 fen) Yaxiao (Saltpeter/Niter, 2 qian)
These herbs are to be reverently compounded during the Dragon Boat Festival. When a case arises, apply a small amount into the inner canthus of the left eye for males or the right eye for females. The pain will cease within the time it takes to drink a cup of tea; the swelling will gradually subside, and the pain will gradually stop, resulting in recovery within three days.
Ge Zhi Gao (Paper-Separated Plaster, by Cao Yuwen). Render male pig lard after removing the skin and membranes, allow to cool and solidify, add Pi Du Li Xiao Dan, then add two teaspoons of Sesame Oil (Hema You) and 3 qian of Feidan (Red Lead Oxide) to form the plaster. Spread onto paper separators and apply to the affected area; the effect is miraculous.
Another prescription. Apply powder of Xionghuang (Realgar) mixed with blood of eel (Shanyu Xue) onto the lesion; it will immediately cauterize/necrose, with miraculous effect.
Another prescription (Secret Manual). One snake shell, calcined to ash but retaining its nature. Scrape floating mud from toilet floorboards. Grind both together into fine powder. Mix with urine of a young boy (Tongbian) and apply to the lesion several times; recovery occurs within one to two days.

Baiji (Bletilla Rhizome, 8 qian) Shuishuilong (Lepisorus thunbergianus, preferably from manure boats, 1 liang)
Grind together into fine powder. Mix with Wugen Shui (water not touching the ground, such as rainwater) and apply.
Another prescription. Grind Guozhi Hui (ash from the bottom of a cooking pot) into fine powder. Mix with the sediment from sour rice-washing water (Chou Taomijiang Shuijiao) and apply.
Another prescription. Take three sheets of purple cotton paper, cut into three long strips. Ignite them. Shine the light from the burning strip starting from the initial blister towards the tail of the rash. Immediately mix the ash of the purple cotton paper with lamp oil residue (Dengzhan Youjiao) and apply to the lesion. Once daily; recovery within three days.
Another prescription. Burn grass found in pigsties to ash. Mix with Sesame Oil (Hema You) and rub onto the lesion.
Contraindication Method (Ritualistic Therapy). Obtain paper effigies of Snake Gods (Sheshen Zhima). (If such paper effigies are unavailable at the shop, fold yellow floral paper into long strips resembling snakes, with wide heads and narrow tails.) Place the snake effigy on the "Snake Nest" sore. While circling it, pray and chant: "House snakes return to their holes, wild snakes go to the main road." Then recite the names of various snakes at random, commanding them to go to the main road. (e.g., command the Rat Snake [Caihuashe] to go to the main road, the Red-banded Snake [Chilianshe] to go to the main road, the Horse-tail Snake [Maoshaoshe] to go to the main road, the Water Snake [Shuishe] to go to the main road.) After chanting, place the snake paper along the threshold of the patient's bedroom door, with the snake head facing outward. Take three moxa cones (Aituan), placing them at the head, middle, and tail sections of the paper. Moxibustion with fire until the moxa burns out. Then burn the snake paper and moxa remains together. Apply the resulting substance to the sore to stop pain. If not fully healed, repeat this method morning and evening the next day. Within three days, the sore head will dry up; this is highly effective.

Chenbitu (Old Wall Earth) Fatouhui (Ash of Human Hair) (equal parts)
Mix with Sesame Oil (Hema You) and apply.

Renfa (Human Hair) Heilvfèn (Black Donkey Dung) Qiangshang Qingtai (Green Moss on Walls) (equal parts)
Grind into powder. Mix with Sesame Oil (Xiangyou) and rub. Recovery occurs within no more than three applications.

Cebaiye (Biota Tops) Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) Jiudi Qiuyinfen (Earthworm Manure from Leek Fields) Sheng Dahuang (Raw Rhubarb Root) (each 5 qian) Chixiaodou (Adzuki Bean) Xionghuang (Realgar) Qingfen (Calomel) (each 3 qian)
Grind into fine powder. Mix with freshly drawn water or Sesame Oil (Hema You) and apply.
Another prescription. Apply fresh eel blood (Xian Shanyu Xue).
Another prescription. Roast Yellow Millet (Huang Sumi), grind into fine powder, mix with Sesame Oil (Hema You) and rub.
Another prescription. Roll dried Mugwort Leaves (Gan Aiye) into paper twists. Burn them to produce smoke and fumigate the lesion until it turns yellow, then stop. Effect is miraculous.
Another prescription. Dry-grind Zaoxintu (Furnace Heart Earth/Cauliflower Earth). Mix with clear oil (Qingyou) and apply.
