Nangfu (Sack-like Abdomen): The pox on the anterior abdomen gather like a sack; this is caused by the conflict of Xiao Du (severe toxic pathogen), with a rampant disease progression. Use Songji Tongsheng San (Poria and Cinnamon Twig Decoction for Releasing the Exterior) to vent the toxin and loosen the muscle layer, or use Guizong Tang (Decoction for Returning to the Origin) which is highly effective.
[Note] When pox appear on the anterior abdomen, gathering in a shape resembling a sack, it is named "Nangfu". This indicates that Xiao Du (severe toxic pathogen) is conflicting, and the condition is extremely rampant. This area is close to the Zang-Fu organs, making it prone to internal invasion by toxins. One must first use Songji Tongsheng San (Poria and Cinnamon Twig Decoction for Releasing the Exterior) to vent the toxin, followed by Guizong Tang (Decoction for Returning to the Origin) to attack the toxin. This ensures clear boundaries of the lesion site and loosens the base of the pox, thereby avoiding danger.
Linzuo (Scale-like Buttocks): The pox on both buttocks are dense like scales; treatment must be urgent without hesitation. If the pox are flat, gray, and stagnant, Songji Tongsheng San (Poria and Cinnamon Twig Decoction for Releasing the Exterior) is effective; if they are hard, purple, and dark, Guizong Tang (Decoction for Returning to the Origin) is miraculous.
[Note] "Linzuo" refers to the aggregation of pox on both buttocks resembling scales. This occurs because the toxic fire is excessive and gathers in the region of extreme Yin (the buttocks). If not treated urgently, the condition will change rapidly. For cases presenting as flat, gray, and stagnant, Songji Tongsheng San (Poria and Cinnamon Twig Decoction for Releasing the Exterior) is indicated; for cases presenting as hard, purple, and dark, Guizong Tang (Decoction for Returning to the Origin) is indicated.
Nangqiu (Sack-like Scrotum): Pox are dense in the scrotum (Kidney Sack); toxins accumulate here, making it difficult to withstand. Immediately use Sanjie Tang (Decoction for Dissipating Nodules) for treatment. Only when the toxin is dispersed and heat is resolved can health be restored.
[Note] The scrotum is an external indicator and a critical area related to the Kidneys. If pox emerge densely, it signifies toxin accumulation in this location. Sanjie Tang (Decoction for Dissipating Nodules) should be used as the primary formula to promote free flow and unblockage, allowing for recovery.
Sanjie Tang (Decoction for Dissipating Nodules)
Schizonepetae Herba (Jingjie), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Qianghuo), Arctii Fructus (Niubangzi - stir-fried), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma), Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Moutan Cortex (Danpi), Violae Herba (Zihuadiding), Rubia Cordifolia Radix et Rhizoma (Chishao), Akebiae Caulis (Mutong), Lithospermi Radix et Rhizoma (Zicao), Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride (Qingpi), Crataegi Fructus (Shanzha).
Guiding herb: Add ten stalks of Phragmitis Rhizoma (Lusun), decoct in water and take orally.
[Prescription Verse] The herbs in Sanjie Tang (Decoction for Dissipating Nodules) are praiseworthy: Jingjie (Schizonepetae Herba), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix), Niubangzi (Arctii Fructus), and Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma) together; Chuanxiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Danpi (Moutan Cortex), Diziding (Violae Herba), and Shaoyao (Rubia Cordifolia Radix et Rhizoma/Cornus Officinalis Fructus context dependent, here likely referring to Chi Shao/Paeoniae Radix Rubra based on formula composition usually associated with cooling blood); Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Zicao (Lithospermi Radix et Rhizoma), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), and Shanzha (Crataegi Fructus).
