Manifestations of pathogenic factors attacking inward, such as abdominal distension and pain, or panting and shortness of breath, are suitable for treatment with Gegen Jiemo Decoction (formula seen previously). In winter, Yuespi Tang and San'ao Decoction may be selected, but the dosage must not be excessive. There are also cases where extreme heat and trapped fire cause dry skin, making it difficult for the rash to erupt; this inevitably leads to dry and cracked lips and tongue, constipation and dysuria, high fever with lethargy, or body swelling and pain, with panting and phlegm rales. Regardless of the timing, it is urgent to use Baihu Tang (formula seen previously) added with Xuanshen, Niubangzi, Jiesui, Zhizi, Zhuye, and similar herbs. Generally, measles treatment considers slight sweating as a favorable sign; if there is no sweat throughout, even after the rash has erupted, adverse consequences may remain. The treatment principle generally does not exceed the aforementioned methods.
