Chronic cough leading to Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung), accompanied by alternating chills and fever, vexation and chest oppression, and excessive salivation. Use Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) as powder, mixed with Tongbian (Child's Urine) for administration.
Gu Zheng (Bone-steaming) causing Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with inability to eat. Use Lugen (Phragmitis Rhizoma), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Digupi (Lycii Cortex), Fuling (Poria), and Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), decocted with Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens).
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with spitting of saliva and foam, dizziness, frequent urination but no cough, indicating Cold in the Lungs. Use Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) and Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma) decocted for administration.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with hematemesis. Roast Huangguazi (Cucumis Melo Seed), grind into powder, and take.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) in both young and old, with cough producing foul-smelling pus. Take Zhuli (Bamboo Sap) three to five times daily.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with shortness of breath, alternating chills and fever, and flushed face. Use Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) as powder, mixed with Tongbian (Child's Urine) for administration.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with Qi deficiency. Use Renshen (Ginseng Radix) as powder, mixed with egg white for administration; this can resolve phlegm and benefit the Lungs.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with coughing up saliva and foam without thirst. Crush Tiantandong (Asparagi Radix) to extract juice, add Huangjiu (Yellow Wine) and Zewan (Asteris Radix) powder, form into pills, and take.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with hemoptysis. Grind Gualouren (Trichosanthis Semen), Wumei (Mume Fructus), and Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) into powder. Boil Zhu Fei (Suis Pulmo) and dip it in the powder to eat.
Lao Sou (Consumptive Cough) causing Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung). Use Kundonghua (Dendrobii Flos) and Baihe (Lilii Bulbus) as powder and take.
Chest fullness, aversion to cold with shivering, dry throat, spitting of turbid saliva, and long-term spitting of pus and blood. Use Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix) and Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) as powder; recovery occurs when pus and blood are completely expelled.
Fei Wei (Lung Abscess/Withered Lung) with cough, vexation, chest fullness, and rough skin on the chest resembling scales. Decoct Weijing (Phragmitis Rhizoma), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum), Guaban (Benincasae Semen/Citrullae Semen), and Yiyiren (Coicis Semen); recovery occurs when pus and blood are expelled.
Fei Yong (Lung Abscess) with coughing up pus and blood. Decoct Yiyiren (Coicis Semen) in water, add wine and vinegar, boil, and take; this should induce the expulsion of blood stasis.
Fei Yong (Lung Abscess). Use Juye (Citri Reticulatae Folium), crush to extract one cup of juice, and take; recovery occurs when pus and blood are expelled.
Fei Yong (Lung Abscess), regardless of whether the abscess has formed or not. Use Zhehuang (Nanmu Heartwood) one liang, Baicaoshuang (Fuliginis Carbo) two qian, mix with paste to form pills, and take ten pills with rice water; the effect is very rapid.
