Tai Lou (Fetal Leakage) refers to blood flowing from the vagina; Niao Xue (Hematuria) refers to blood flowing out from the urethra along with urine. This is caused by Fire in the Heart Meridian, which transfers heat to the Small Intestine, infiltrates the Bladder, and causes blood to flow down during urination, but not when urinating does not occur.
If caused by physical exertion and excessive consumption of fried or roasted foods, Jia Wei Xiao Yao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) can be used. (Bu 21.)
Chi Dai (Red Leukorrhea) accompanied by leakage, resembling pig liver juice, can be treated with Ce Bai Wan (Cacumen Platycladi Pill). (Han 16.)
Bao (Womb/Bladder) refers to the Bladder. As the fetus gradually grows larger, it presses downward on the Bao, causing the Bao to tilt due to the pressure, hence the name Zhuan Bao (Displaced Womb/Bladder). Some cases of Zhuan Bao are caused by the fetus sinking, while others are caused by Qi failing to transform water, leading to water accumulation in the Bao, with the fetus further pressing on it. The symptoms include restlessness, sweating, rebellious Qi rushing, obstruction of the urinary pathway, and acute pain in the lower abdomen. It should be treated promptly. In emergencies, have the pregnant woman lie supine on a bed with her legs raised vertically, which may provide slight relief. Zhuan Bao is similar to Zi Lin (Fetal Strangury), but Zi Lin involves pain without distension, whereas Zhuan Bao involves distension without pain. Even if extreme distension causes pain, the urethral orifice itself does not hurt. If it is a Lin syndrome, urine flows drop by drop, and the urethral orifice hurts severely as if cut by a knife.
If caused by deficiency of Blood and Qi, where the Fetus cannot be supported upward, Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) can be used with modifications. Ba Zhen Tang (Eight Treasures Decoction) added with Guang Pi (Tangerine Peel) and Mu Xiang (Aucklandia Root) can also treat this condition. (Bu 5, Bu 6.)
If caused by deficiency of Spleen and Lung Qi, which fails to distribute and excrete bladder fluids, Yi Gong San (Master Yi's Powder) added with Zhu Ling (Polyporus) and Ze Xie (Alisma Rhizome) can be used. (Bu 22.)
If caused by Heat Qi stagnating in the Bladder, leading to unfavorable fluid metabolism, Zi Shen Wan (Nourish the Kidney Pill) added with Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) and Ze Xie (Alisma Rhizome) can be used. (Han 17.)
If the Metal (Lung) is scorched by Fire, and the Spleen Earth has Damp-Heat, resulting in difficulty in urination and defecation, Qing Jin Li Shui Tang (Clear Metal and Promote Water Flowing Decoction) added with Shan Zhi (Gardenia Fruit) and Cha Hu (Dendrobium Stem) can be used. (Han 18.)
If holding urine, overeating, and sexual fatigue cause Qi rebellion and failure of water transformation, leading to Zhuan Bao, the Qi should be regulated using Su Xiang Wan (Su Xiang Pill). (San 17.)
Fetal movement causes Qi rebellion, pressing upward on the Heart and Lungs, leading to Cold Qi stagnation, obstructed Qi mechanism, chest stuffiness, confusion, and panting. This is due to improper nursing care and disharmony of Blood and Qi. "Zi Xuan" (Fetal Suspension) refers to disharmony of fetal Qi; this condition is due to disharmony of Blood and Qi, leading to restless fetus and insecurity.
For rebellious Fetal Qi, Zi Su Yin (Perilla Infusion) can be used. (San 3.) Dang Gui Shao Yao Tang (Angelica Sinensis and Paeonia Lactiflora Decoction) can also be used. (Bu 10.)
For internal Heat of Liver Fire, Jia Wei Xiao Yao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) can be used. (Bu 21.)
For rebellious Stomach Fire, Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) with Chuan Xiong removed, and Shan Zhi (Gardenia Fruit), Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root), and Gan Cao (Licorice Root) added, can be used. (Bu 7.)
For stagnant Spleen Qi, Jia Wei Gui Pi Yin (Modified Restore the Spleen Infusion) can be used. (Bu 3.)
For loss of taste in food, Liu Jun Zi Tang (Six Gentlemen Decoction) can be used. (Bu 1.)
For deficiency-cold of the Spleen and Stomach, Wu Jun Zi Tang (Five Gentlemen Decoction) can be used. (Bu 14.)
For excess Wind Pathogen causing panting that prevents lying down, Shen Su Yin (Ginseng and Perilla Infusion) can be used. (He 13.)
If Fire agitates the Fetus, causing rebellious Qi and panting, Huang Qin (Scutellaria Root) and Xiang Fu (Cyperus Rhizome) can be powdered and taken with a decoction of Sha Ren (Amomum Fruit).
If Kidney Qi fails to return to its origin and floats up to the Lungs causing panting, Sheng Mai San (Generate the Pulse Powder) or Du Qi Yin (Retain Qi Infusion) added with E Jiao (Donkey-Hide Gelatin) can be used. (Bu 23, Bu 24.)
If Fetal Qi presses upward, causing painful heat and lower bleeding, leading to severe restlessness and distress, boil twenty stalks of Cong Bai (Allii Fistulosum Bulbus) strongly and drink the decoction. If the fetus is dead, it will be expelled immediately; if alive, it will become safe.
