[Sanhuang Qure Decoction]
Coptidis Rhizoma (Huanglian), Scutellariae Radix (Huangqin), Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai) (stir-fried with salt water and wine), Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe), Forsythiae Fructus (Lianqiao), Trichosanthis Radix (Huafen), Gardeniae Fructus (Zhiren).
The above formula is indicated for cases where wind-heat symptoms have subsided, but eye pain persists, without internal organ heat accumulation or constipation. If there is stagnation in the upper part but no constipation in the lower part, it indicates that the heat from the Zang organs has not transferred to the Fu organs. Therefore, only the bitter-cold herbs such as Huanglian, Huangqin, Huangbai, Huafen, Lianqiao, and Zhiren are used to clear heat. If the fire subsides but pain persists, it indicates that liver heat has invaded the heart. At this time, it is necessary to add Xin-warm (acrid-warm) herbs such as Bohe, Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), and Chuanxiong to disperse the pathogenic factors.

The treatment principles for women's diseases are the same as those for men, except for menstruation and childbirth/pregnancy. The term "Xiaoning Xingjing" (Eliminating Stasis and Regulating Menstruation) refers to medicines for diseases caused by menstrual irregularities. Menstrual blood is the essence of the Taiyin Spleen meridian; it becomes full at the full moon and deficient after the full moon. Women are formed by Yin Qi, so their blood also fluctuates with the moon's phases, hence it is called "Yueshi" (Monthly Affairs). The Classic says: "When monthly affairs occur on time, conception is possible." Even slight deviations can damage Qi and Blood.
The formula combines Huangqi, Yimucao, Zhiqiao, and Gancao to tonify Qi and regulate Qi movement; Danggui, Yanhusuo, Honghua, and Yujin to invigorate Blood and nourish Blood. Chaihu and Chuanxiong guide the medicinal power into the Jueyin Liver meridian, allowing Ying-Blood to return to its vessel. Fuling and Tongcao guide the medicinal power into the Taiyang Bladder meridian, allowing pathogens to exit via the exterior. Jingjie and Huanglian are specifically used to treat eye conditions caused by blood stasis, calming wind-heat. In this way, the meridians remain unharmed, the body harmonizes, and conception becomes possible. This efficacy is recorded to name the formula. However, it should only be taken by young, robust women with internal heat. If there is any doubt, caution should be exercised.

[Fangfeng Sanjie Decoction]
Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), Schizonepetae Spica (Jingjie), Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix (Duhuo), Carthami Flos (Honghua), Sappan Lignum (Sumu), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Typhae Pollen (Puhuang), Talcum (Huashi), Mori Cortex (Sangpi), Bombyx Batryticatus (Can Sha), Dendrobii Caulis (Shihu), Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tufuling), Paeoniae Radix Alba (Baishaoyao).
This formula is the main treatment after being cut by a metal instrument while handling clam meat.
Metal instruments are cold in nature; clam meat contains blood toxins. Cold causes blood to coagulate, and cutting causes pain. Coagulation and pain lead to the arrival of Wind and Fire pathogens. Therefore, Fangfeng, Jingjie, and Duhuo are used to disperse Wind; Sangpi, Puhuang, and Can Sha are used to clear Heat. Since water-dampness is inevitably absorbed during cutting, Shihu, Huashi, and Tufuling are used to promote diuresis and drain dampness. To prevent blood stasis after cutting, Danggui, Honghua, and Sumu are used to invigorate blood circulation. For conditions like corns or milia, although there is abundant blood, modifications of Xiebai San suffice, and this formula is not necessary.
