Pungent in flavor, warm in nature. Non-toxic. Primarily treats severe traumatic injuries (Jueshang). It tonifies the Middle Jiao and reconnects sinews and bones. It fills the marrow and brain. It calms the Five Zang organs. It addresses conditions of "Five Laxity and Six Urgency" (Wu Huan Liu Ji). It treats Bi syndrome caused by wind-cold-dampness pathogens.

Pungent in flavor, warm in nature. Primarily treats hernia and abdominal pain in the heart and abdomen. It benefits Qi and treats ailments [text missing]. It treats inability to walk in children. It treats carbuncles, sores, and erosions of the genital area. Also known as Chaiqi.
[Manjingzi / Viticis Fructus]
Bitter in flavor, slightly cold in nature. Primarily treats Bi syndrome with alternating cold and heat, and spasms/contracture in the sinews and bones. It brightens the eyes and strengthens teeth. It unblocks the Nine Orifices. It expels white parasites (intestinal worms). Long-term consumption lightens the body and delays aging. The fruit of Xiao Jing has equivalent effects. It grows in mountain valleys.
