The Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian of Jueyin starts at the outer canthus (Tongziliao, GB1), ascends to the frontal angle (Hanyan, GB7), then descends behind the ear (Wangu, GB12), follows the neck, running anterior to the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian. At the shoulder, it crosses posteriorly behind the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian and enters the clavicular fossa (Quepen, SI15). A branch arises from behind the ear, enters the ear, emerges anterior to the ear, and reaches the post-auricular region of the outer canthus. Another branch diverges from the outer canthus, descends to Daying (ST4), meets the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, reaches the infraorbital region, descends past Jiache (ST6), follows the neck downward, converges with the main trunk at Quepen, then descends into the chest, pierces the diaphragm, connects with the Liver, and belongs to the Gallbladder. It runs along the interior of the hypochondrium, emerges at the Qi Street (inguinal region), surrounds the pubic hair margin, and enters the hip joint depression (Biyan). The straight branch descends from Quepen, passes through the axilla, follows the chest, traverses the lateral costal margin (Ji Xiong), descends to Biyan, where it merges with the aforementioned branch. It then runs down the lateral aspect of the thigh, exits the lateral knee, descends anterior to the fibula, reaches the end of Juegu (lower end of the fibula), emerges anterior to the lateral malleolus, follows the dorsum of the foot, and enters between the fourth and fifth toes. A branch from the dorsum of the foot enters the space between the great toe, runs along the medial side of the two metatarsal bones of the great toe, emerges at its tip, returns to penetrate the nail bed's fringe (Zhao Mao), and exits at the lateral corner of the nail.
The Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian starts at the fringe of hair on the big toe (Dadun, LR1), ascends along the medial margin of the dorsum of the foot, one cun anterior to the medial malleolus, ascends eight cun above the medial malleolus, crosses posterior to the Foot-Taiyin Spleen Meridian, ascends along the medial aspect of the thigh, enters the pubic region, circles the external genitalia, reaches the lower abdomen, flanks the stomach, belongs to the Liver, and connects with the Gallbladder. It ascends through the diaphragm, spreads in the hypochondriac region, follows the posterior aspect of the pharynx, ascends to the nasopharynx (Hangsang), connects with the optic nerve system (Muxi), emerges at the forehead, and meets the Du Meridian at the vertex (Baihui, GV20). A branch descends from the Muxi, passes through the inner cheek, and circles the inner lips. Another branch diverges from the Liver, pierces the diaphragm, and ascends to inject into the Lungs.
The *Suwen: Gukong Lun* states: The Ren Meridian originates below Zhongji (CV3), ascends along the pubic margin, runs within the abdominal cavity, reaches Guanyuan (CV4), arrives at the throat, ascends to the chin, follows the face, and enters the inner canthus.
The *Lingshu: Wuyin Wuwei Pian* states: Both the Chong Meridian and the Ren Meridian originate in the Baozhong (uterus/womb), ascend along the interior of the spine, serving as the sea of the meridians; their superficial branches ascend along the abdomen, converge at the throat, and diverge to network the lips.
The *Suwen: Gukong Lun* states: The Du Meridian originates from the central part of the pelvic bone below the lower abdomen. In women, it enters and connects to the Tingkong (external urethral orifice), which is the end of the urinary passage. Its collateral vessels follow the external genitalia, converge at the Cu Jian (perineum), circle the anus posteriorly, diverge to circle the buttocks, and merge with the Shaoyin and Juyang middle collaterals. The Shaoyin meridian ascends along the posterior medial aspect of the thigh, pierces the spine, and belongs to the Kidney. The Taiyang meridian originates at the inner canthus, ascends to the forehead, intersects at the vertex, enters to network the brain, re-emerges, descends separately to the nape, follows the medial aspect of the scapula, runs alongside the spine, reaches the waist, enters to follow the paraspinal muscles, and networks the Kidney. In men, it follows the penis downward to the perineum, identical to women. The branch rising straight from the lower abdomen penetrates the center of the umbilicus, ascends through the Heart, enters the throat, ascends to the chin, circles the lips, and ascends to tie the central point below both eyes.
