The Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang starts at the tip of the little finger, follows the ulnar side of the hand to the wrist, emerges from between the styloid process of the ulna, goes straight up along the posterior border of the forearm, emerges between the two tendons on the medial side of the elbow, ascends along the posterior lateral border of the upper arm, emerges from the shoulder joint, winds around the scapula, intersects with the shoulders, enters the Supraclavicular Fossa (Quepen), connects with the Heart, follows the pharynx, passes through the diaphragm, reaches the Stomach, and belongs to the Small Intestine. Its branch arises from the Supraclavicular Fossa, follows the neck to the cheek, reaches the outer canthus of the eye, and enters the ear; another branch diverges from the cheek, ascends to the zygomatic bone, reaches the nose, arrives at the inner canthus of the eye, and obliquely connects with the zygomatic bone.
The Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian starts at the inner canthus of the eye, ascends to the forehead, and intersects at the vertex. Its branch extends from the vertex to the supra-auricular angle. The main trunk enters the cranium to connect with the Brain, then emerges again, descends separately behind the neck, follows the medial aspect of the shoulder blades, flanks the spine, reaches the loins, enters the muscles alongside the spine, connects with the Kidneys, and belongs to the Bladder. Its branch from the loins descends, flanking the spine, penetrating the buttocks, and entering the popliteal fossa; another branch diverges from the medial aspect of the shoulders, penetrates the scapula, flanks the spine internally, passes through the hip joint, follows the posterior lateral border of the thigh, and merges in the popliteal fossa with the previous branch, then descends through the calf muscle, emerges behind the lateral malleolus, follows the Jinggu point to the lateral side of the little toe.
The Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian starts below the little toe, slants towards the sole of the foot, emerges below the RanGu point, follows the posterior aspect of the medial malleolus, a branch enters the calcaneus, ascends out of the medial aspect of the lower leg, emerges from the posterior medial border of the tibia, ascends along the posterior medial border of the thigh, pierces the spine, belongs to the Kidneys, and connects with the Bladder. The main trunk ascends from the Kidneys, pierces the Liver and Diaphragm, enters the Lungs, follows the throat, flanks the root of the tongue. Its branch emerges from the Lungs, connects with the Heart, and pours into the chest.
The Hand-Jueyin Pericardium Meridian starts in the chest, emerges to belong to the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively connects with the Sanjiao (Triple Burner). Its branch emerges from the chest, goes to the hypochondrium, rises three cun below the axilla to reach the axillary fossa, runs along the medial aspect of the upper arm between the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian and the Hand-Shaoyin Heart Meridian, enters the elbow, descends along the forearm between the two tendons, enters the palm, follows the middle finger to its tip. Its branch diverges from the palm, follows the ring finger to its tip.
The Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian starts at the tip of the ring finger, ascends between the ring and middle fingers, follows the dorsal aspect of the hand to the wrist, emerges between the radius and ulna of the forearm, ascends through the olecranon, follows the lateral aspect of the upper arm, ascends to the shoulder, crosses behind the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, enters the Supraclavicular Fossa, distributes in the Danzhong region, disperses to connect with the Pericardium, descends through the diaphragm, and successively belongs to the Upper, Middle, and Lower Sanjiao (Triple Burner). Its branch ascends from the Danzhong region, emerges from the Supraclavicular Fossa, goes up the neck, ties behind the ear, ascends directly above the ear to the supra-auricular angle, curves down to the cheek. Another branch enters the ear from behind the ear, emerges anterior to the ear, passes anterior to the Guanzhu point (Shangguan), intersects at the cheek, and reaches the outer canthus of the eye.
