Soak herbs in four jin four liang of Sesame Oil (MAYOU) for five days. Boil until charred black, remove dregs. Weigh the pure oil accurately. For every two liang of oil, use one liang of refined Litharge (Huangdan) to form the ointment.
Add Myrrha (Moyao) (three qian, de-oiled), Asafoetida (Awei) (three qian), Moschus (Shexiang) (one qian), Dragon's Blood (Xuejie) (two qian), Swallow Nest Mud facing South (Woyao Ni) (five qian), Realgar (Xionghuang) (one qian).
Grind all above medicines into extremely fine powder, mix thoroughly into the ointment. When used, melt over water bath and apply as a plaster. Avoid direct fire.
[White Ascending Medicine Formula]:
Mercurius (Shuiyin), Ferri Sulfas (Zaofan), Saltpeter (Huoxiao), Alumen (Bai Fan), Roasted Salt.
Grind into extremely fine powder. Process by sublimation according to the "Sheng San Bai Tou" method.
[Topical Medicine Formula for Treating Scrofula]: For ulcers that have broken, with abundant pus and swelling, apply this to promote drainage and reduce swelling.
Earthworm Excrement (preferably from leek fields), Fine Bud Tea (charred to retain nature), Soap Nut Kernel (single kernel, calcined to retain nature), Dung Beetle (Qianglang Chong) (wrapped in mud and calcined to retain nature).

Arisaema Cum Bile (Sheng Nanxing), Pinellia Ternata (Sheng Banxia) (each three qian), Sargassum (Haizao), Ecklonia/Kelp (Kunbu) (each two qian), Moschus (Shexiang), Borneolum Syntheticum (Bingpian) (each two fen), Safflower (Honghua), Ostrea Concha (Muli) (each two qian... dosage omitted).
All ingredients ground raw into extremely fine powder. Separately, take about one liang of Bletilla Striata Rhizoma (Baiji), slice and decoct into paste, mix with the powder to form sticks (Tingzi), dry in sun. Grind and apply when needed.

Use three liang of Lead (Qian), boil for a long time in an iron vessel until a foot-like black ash forms. Take this ash, mix with fat and apply to the lesion, or mix with vinegar and apply, cover with old cloth, repeat several times... (Omissions in original text).
