At the initial stage of this eye disease, it is all due to accumulated heat in the Spleen and Stomach, and wind pathogen invading the Liver. The wind-heat gradually enters the eye, causing the formation of nebulae resembling chicken combs or clam meat. These growths may be green or red. This disease should first be treated with surgical methods such as hooking, cutting with a sickle, moxibustion (ironing), and cauterization. Subsequently, it is appropriate to administer Choufeng Tang (Wind-Extracting Decoction) and combine it with Chu Re Chongwei Wan (Heat-Removing Chongwei Pill) for recovery.
The poem states:
Nebulae growing in the eye resemble chicken combs;
The practitioner must flip the eyelids to examine them carefully.
Clam-like flesh may appear green, red, or black;
Only by not shunning cutting and cauterization can one achieve cure.
To eliminate wind-heat, rely on decoctions and powders;
One must use Qingcain (Azurite) drops to treat the root cause.
If one claims the root is not yet fully healed,
Sincerely taking more Jieming Wan (Cassia Seed Pill) will surely resolve it.

Grind the above into powder. Take one qian of powder with one zhan of water, boil until reduced to five fen. Strain and take warm after meals.
Chongwei Wan (Chongwei Pill)
Chongweizi (Leonuri Fructus), Renshen (Ginseng Radix), Ganshanyao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) (each 2 liang), Fuling (Poria), Shijueming (Concha Argo), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Heishen (Adenophorae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) (each 1 liang), Gan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata, 1.5 liang).
Grind the above into powder, mix with refined honey to make pills the size of tung tree seeds. Take ten pills with tea on an empty stomach.
At the initial stage of this eye disease, it is all due to toxic accumulation obstructing the Lungs, accumulated heat in the Large Intestine, and wind pathogen in the Liver home. This causes fleshy growths resembling millet grains to appear on the upper and lower eyelid skin and flesh. The primary symptoms are excessive tearing, astringency, and pain, feeling as if a grain of rice is hidden in the eye. If the condition persists for years, the nebula becomes dim, and the condition gradually worsens. For this eye disease, it is essential to perform bleeding therapy via sickle-cutting three to five times to remove the root cause for recovery. Subsequently, administer Chufeng Tang (Wind-Removing Decoction) and Tuire Yinzi (Heat-Reducing Infusion).
The poem states:
Astringency, pain, and excessive tearing flow out,
Truly like a grain of rice hiding in the pupil.
Inspecting the upper and lower eyelids,
Millet-like growths frequently emerge.
Redness and whiteness are not fixed signs;
Needle pricking reveals they resemble ice crystals.
Once stasis blood is completely expelled,
Cool-natured medicines will surely prove effective.
