When this eye condition first occurs, there is a sudden, unbearable extreme itching. This is caused by wind in the Liver and obstructive heat in the Gallbladder rushing upward. It is essential to use a lancet to release blood and remove stasis, and to needle the Yangbai (Yangbai) and Taiyang (Taiyang) acupoints with fire needles. Subsequently, administering Wushe Tang (Black Snake Decoction), Huanjing San (Restore Vision Powder), and Madouling Wan (Aristolochia Pill) will lead to recovery.
The poem states:
At times, the eyes itch extremely and are hard to bear; who can seek the root of this disease?
The Qi of the pupil connects to the pure and clear organs; attacked by wind-heat coming up from below.
One must also needle the Yangbai point; using Wushe Tang, the illness will naturally lighten.
Do not forget pills and powders today; teaching you to eradicate the deep-rooted disease.

When this eye condition first occurs, there is no other discomfort in the eyes. However, after sitting for a long time, one suddenly experiences dizziness at the back of the head, black spots appear in the vision accompanied by dimness, which only settles after a while. This is all due to fatigue and wind invasion affecting both the Liver and Kidney, and toxic heat from the Heart rushing upward, causing this ailment. If treatment is delayed even slightly, it may later transform into Qingmang (blindness). It is advisable to administer Zhenxin Wan (Heart-Calming Pill) and Bugan San (Liver-Nourishing Powder) for immediate effect.
The poem states:
No other affliction in the eyes; squatting or sitting brings forth flowers.
Initially suffering from dizziness and oppression; wind touching the Heart and Liver.
Kidney deficiency combined with heat; frequent sexual activity.
Calming the Heart and nourishing the Liver requires supplementation; take medicine early, do not delay.
Even if one believes it will last for years, disaster strikes helplessly.
