(There are eighty-six acupoints in total on both sides.)
The *Jingmai Pian* (Chapter on Meridians) states: The meridian of the Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang originates at the outer canthus (Tongziliao, GB1), ascends to reach the frontal angle (Touwei, ST8; Hanyan, GB7; Xuanlu, GB6; Xuanli, GB5; Qubin, GB74; Lvgu, GB8; Tianchong, GB9), descends behind the ear (Fubai, GB12; Qiaoyin, GB43; Wangu, GB12; Jiaosun, TE14; Benshen, GB13; Yangbai, GB14; Linqi, GB15; Muchuang, GB16; Zhengying, GB17; Chengling, GB19; Naokong, GB11; Fengchi, GB20), follows the neck anterior to the Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, reaches the shoulder (Jianjing, GB21), then crosses posterior to the Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, and enters the clavicular fossa (Dazhui, DU14; Dazhu, BL11; Bingfeng, SI12; Quepen, SI13). Its branch arises from behind the ear, enters the ear, emerges anterior to the ear, and reaches the posterior aspect of the outer canthus. Another branch diverges from the outer canthus, descends to Daying (LI18), merges with the Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, reaches below Jiache (ST6), descends along the neck (Tianrong, SI17), and converges at the clavicular fossa. Thereafter, it descends through the chest, penetrates the diaphragm (Riyue, LR24), connects with the Liver, belongs to the Gallbladder, runs within the hypochondrium (Zhangmen, LR13), emerges at the Qi Street (Qichong, ST30), winds around the pubic region, and transversely enters the hip depression (Huantiao, GB30). Its straight course descends from the clavicular fossa to the axilla (Yuanye, GB22; Zhejin, GB23), follows the chest passing through the lateral costal margin (Jingmen, GB25; Daipmai, GB26; Wushu, GB27; Weidao, GB28; Juliao, GB29), descends to converge at the hip depression, then follows the lateral thigh (Zhongdu, GB31; Yangguan, GB33), emerges at the lateral knee (Yanglingquan, GB34), descends anterior to the fibula (Yangjiao, GB35; Waiqiu, GB36; Guangming, GB37), goes straight down to the end of the fibula (Yangfu, GB38; Xuanzhong, GB39), emerges anterior to the lateral malleolus (Qiuxu, GB40), follows the dorsum of the foot (Linqi, GB41; Diwuhui, GB42), and enters between the fourth and fifth toes (Xiaxi, GB43; Qiaoyin, GB44). Its branch diverges from the dorsum of the foot, enters between the great toe, follows the medial side of the interphalangeal bone of the great toe, emerges at the tip of the toe, loops back through the nail bed, and emerges at the hair tuft.
It is also stated: The collateral named "Guangming" (GB37) of the Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang is located five cun above the ankle, diverges to run towards the Liver of Foot-Jueyin, and descends to connect with the dorsum of the foot.
The *Qifu Lun* (Chapter on Qi-Regulating Pores) states: There are sixty-two acupoints where the Qi of the Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang issues. Two points at each upper frontal angle (Note 2 refers to Tianchong, two points on each side). Five points inside the hairline directly above the eyes on each side (referring to Linqi, GB15; Muchuang, GB16; Zhengying, GB17; Chengling, GB19; Naokong, GB11, ten points in total on both sides). One point at the upper anterior angle of the ear on each side (referring to Hanyan, two points). One point at the lower anterior angle of the ear on each side (referring to Xuanli, two points). One point under the sharp hairline (referring to Heliao, two points). One point at Kerenzhu (Shangguan, EX-HN18) on each side. One point in the depression behind the ear on each side (referring to Yifeng, TE17, two points). One point at Xiaguan (ST7) on each side. One point behind the jaw at the ear on each side (referring to Jiache, ST6, two points). One point at Quepen (SI13) on each side. One point three cun below the axilla, and one point in each of the eight spaces from the hypochondrium to the ninth rib (Below the axilla refers to Yuanye, GB22; Zhejin, GB23; Tianchi, PC1; from the hypochondrium to the ninth rib refers to Riyue, LR24; Zhangmen, LR13; Daipmai, GB26; Wushu, GB27; Weidao, GB28; Juliao, GB29, nine points in total, eighteen points on both sides). One point at the lateral side of the hip pivot on each side (referring to Huantiao, GB30, two points). Six Shu points from below the knee to the fourth toe on each side (referring to Yanglingquan, GB34; Yangfu, GB38; Qiuxu, GB40; Linqi, GB41; Xiaxi, GB43; Qiaoyin, GB44, six points in total).
The *Jingbie Pian* (Chapter on Extraordinary Meridians) states: The regular pathway of the Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang circles the hip, enters the pubic region, and merges with the Liver of Foot-Jueyin. Its branch enters the space between the lateral costal margin, runs within the chest, belongs to the Gallbladder, scatters over the Liver, penetrates the Heart, ascends to flank the pharynx, emerges in the jaw and chin area, scatters on the face, ties to the eye system, and merges with the Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang externally.
The *Jingjin Pian* (Chapter on Sinew Meridians) states: The sinew meridian of the Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang originates between the fourth and fifth toes, ascends to bind at the lateral malleolus, ascends along the lateral border of the lower leg, and binds at the lateral border of the knee. Its branch diverges from the lateral fibula, ascends to the thigh. The anterior part binds above Futu (ST32), and the posterior part binds at the sacrum. Its straight course ascends to the lateral costal margin, moves up to the anterior border of the axilla, ties to the chest and breast, and binds at the clavicular fossa. The straight course ascends out of the axilla, penetrates the clavicular fossa, emerges anterior to the Bladder of Foot-Taiyang, follows behind the ear to the frontal angle, intersects at the vertex, descends to the mandible, and ascends to bind at the outer canthus. Its branch binds at the outer canthus, serving as the external维系 (weave).
The *Re Lun* (Chapter on Heat Disorders) states: Shaoyang governs the Gallbladder; its meridian follows the hypochondrium and connects to the ear. It is also stated: When Shaoyang disease recedes, deafness occurs but faint hearing remains.
Tongziliao (GB1) (Meeting point of Bladder of Hand-Taiyang, Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang, and Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang). Sizhukong (TE23) (Point where Qi of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang issues). Hanyan (GB7) (Meeting point of Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang and Stomach of Foot-Yangming). Qubin (GB74) (Meeting point of Bladder of Foot-Taiyang and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang). Lvgu (GB8) (Same as above). Tianrong (SI17) (Point where Qi of Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang issues; 'Hand' should be 'Foot', see explanation under Bladder of Hand-Taiyang section). Tianchong (GB9) (Meeting point of Bladder of Foot-Taiyang and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang). Fubai (GB12) (Same as above). Qiaoyin (GB44) (Same as above; *Wai Tai Mi Yao* says meeting of Bladder of Hand-Taiyang, Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang; *Ju Ying* says Bladder of Foot-Taiyang, Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang). Wangu (GB12) (Same as above). Benshen (GB13) (Meeting point of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang and Yang Link Vessel; *Ju Ying* says termination of Yang Link Vessel). Yangbai (GB14) (Same as above; Note 2 says meeting of Stomach of Foot-Yangming and Yin Link Vessel; *Xin Zheng Xiao* says according to *Jia Yi Jing*, Yangbai is a meeting of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang and Yang Link Vessel; current Wang Shi annotation says Stomach of Foot-Yangming and Yin Link Vessel; detailed examination shows this point is among those where Qi of Stomach of Foot-Yangming issues, so Stomach of Foot-Yangming is closer, but it is actually a meeting of Stomach of Foot-Yangming, Small Intestine of Hand-Taiyang, Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang, Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang, and Yang Link Vessel). Linqi (GB15) (Meeting point of Bladder of Foot-Taiyang, Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang, and Yang Link Vessel; *Wai Tai* omits Yang Link Vessel). Muchuang (GB16) (Meeting point of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang and Yang Link Vessel). Zhengying (GB17) (Same as above). Chengling (GB19) (Same as above). Naokong (GB11) (Same as above). Fengchi (GB20) (Same as above; *Qifu Lun* says point where Qi of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang issues). Jianjing (GB21) (Meeting point of Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang and Yang Link Vessel; 'Hand', *Wai Tai* says Hand and Foot). Huantiao (GB30) (Issuing point; Note 2 says meeting of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang and Bladder of Foot-Taiyang). Yuanye (GB22) (Note 2 says point where Qi of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang issues). Zhejin (GB23) (Issuing point; *Ju Ying* says meeting of Bladder of Foot-Taiyang and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang). Riyue (LR24) (Meeting point of Spleen of Foot-Taiyin and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang; *Lei Jing* says meeting of Taiyin, Shaoyang, and Yang Link Vessel). Jingmen (GB25) (Muo point of Kidney). Weidao (GB28) (Meeting point of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang and Dai Mai). Juliao (GB29) (Meeting point of Yang Qiao Mai and Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang). Zhongdu (GB31) (Issuing point; *Ju Ying* says Luo, diverging to Jueyin). Yangguan (GB33) (Yanglingquan, Entering point). Yangjiao (GB35) (Gap of Yang Link Vessel). Waiqiu (GB36) (Gap, generated by Shaoyang). Guangming (GB37) (Luo, diverging to Jueyin). Yangfu (GB38) (Running point). Xuanzhong (GB39) (Network of Three Yang Meridians of Foot; *Wai Tai* says Great Luo). Qiuxu (GB40) (Passing point). Linqi (GB41) (Pouring point). Diwuhui (GB42) (Same as Linqi). Xiaxi (GB43) (Flowing point). Qiaoyin (GB44) (Exiting point).
According to *Wai Tai Mi Yao*: There are one hundred and four points on both sides. It excludes Jianjing (included in Sanjiao Meridian) and Riyue (included in Spleen Meridian), but includes Touwei (Stomach Meridian), Luxi (Sanjiao Meridian), Dabao (Spleen Meridian), Tianchi (Pericardium Meridian), Zhangmen (Liver Meridian), Houye, Zhuangu, Yinxi, Yingtu, Xietang, Pangting, Shisu (these seven points are now included in Extraordinary Points). *Qian Jin Fang* has Fuyang (BL60) below Qiuxu (Bladder Meridian). *Zi Sheng Jing*, *Shen Ying Jing*, *Ru Men*, *Da Quan*, *Bao Jian* have Fengshi (GB31) (now included in Extraordinary Points). *Ju Ying* omits Riyue. *Fa Hui* and *Ju Ying* omit Sizhukong (included in Sanjiao Meridian) and Tianrong (included in Small Intestine Meridian), but include Tinghui (TE17) (Sanjiao Meridian). *Bao Jian* includes Jiaosun (TE14) (duplicate).
Regarding the flow and distribution of the Gallbladder Meridian, according to the *Jingmai Pian*, some acupoints are not strictly regulated, as pointed out by Okamoto. However, for Sizhukong (TE23) and Tianrong (SI17) (explanations found in Small Intestine Meridian section), *Jia Yi Jing* states they are points where Qi of Gallbladder of Foot-Shaoyang issues, while *Wai Tai* includes them in this meridian. For Tinghui (TE17), *Jia Yi Jing* states it is a point where Qi of Sanjiao of Hand-Shaoyang issues, and *Wai Tai* also assigns it to the Sanjiao Meridian without mentioning it as a meeting point. *Fa Hui* considers Qucha (EX-HN4) and Jingming (BL1) as meeting points, which is not mentioned in other texts. Furthermore, Jiache (ST6), Daying (LI18), and Qichong (ST30) are explicitly stated as meeting points in the *Jingmai Pian*; their omission in *Jia Yi Jing* and subsequent texts is likely due to loss or omission.
