(Dige, also known as Chengjiang acupoint) belongs to the intersection of the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian (Zú Yángmíng Wèi Jīng, Foot Yangming Stomach Channel) and the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel). (*Ling Shu* states: The Foot-Yangming meridian circles below the lips and intersects at Chengjiang. It further states: If the chin bone is low and does not reach the level of this point, life expectancy will be less than thirty years; if illness is added, death may occur before twenty years of age). Furthermore, it is associated with the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian (Zú Shàoyīn Shèn Jīng, Foot Shaoyin Kidney Channel) (Shen Chengzhi stated: In the facial region of children, it belongs to the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian. *Xin Jian* states: Water nature moistens downward, corresponding to the North).
(Refers to the neck and nape) belongs to the intersection of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian (Zú Tàiyáng Pángguāng Jīng, Foot Taiyang Bladder Channel) and the Du Mai (Governing Vessel). (*Ling Shu* states: The Foot-Taiyang meridian ascends from the back and emerges at the nape. If pathogenic qi strikes the nape, it descends into the Foot-Taiyang meridian. It also states: The meridian in the center of the neck is the Du Mai. *Su Wen* states: When pathogenic qi lodges in the collaterals of the Foot-Taiyang meridian, it causes pain in the head, nape, and shoulder. It further states: What the Taiyang meridian calls "stiff neck pulling the back" is due to excessive yang qi struggling upward. Note: "Stiff neck" refers to rigidity and immobility of the head and nape. It also states: Various forms of spasm with stiff neck all belong to dampness. Note: Spasm refers to stiffness and tension, caused by the Taiyang meridian being injured by dampness. Li Dongyuan stated: Back pain and stiff neck, with the waist feeling like breaking and the neck feeling like being pulled out, are caused by the obstruction of the Foot-Taiyang meridian, treated primarily with Qianghuo Shengshi Tang. *Su Wen* further states: In Jue headache, where the nape hurts first and prevents flexion and extension, with the lumbar spine responding, one should first select Tianzhu acupoint, then select points on the Foot-Taiyang meridian). Furthermore, it is associated with the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian (Zú Juéyīn Gān Jīng, Foot Jueyin Liver Channel) (*Ling Shu* states: The Foot-Jueyin meridian follows behind the throat and ascends into the pharynx. *Su Wen* states: East wind arises in spring, disease affects the liver, and the Shu points reflect in the neck and nape. Zhang Jifeng stated: The liver governs the neck, back, arms, and shoulders). Furthermore, it is associated with the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian (Shǒu Shàoyáng Sānjiāo Jīng, Hand Shaoyang Triple Burner Channel) and the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian (Zú Shàoyáng Dǎn Jīng, Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Channel) (*Ling Shu* states: The branch of the Hand-Shaoyang meridian exits the clavicular fossa, ascends to the nape, and connects behind the ear. It also states: The Foot-Shaoyang meridian follows the neck, running anterior to the Hand-Shaoyang meridian, reaching the shoulder. It also states: The vessel at Futu is the Foot-Shaoyang vessel, named Tianyou acupoint. For sudden deafness, Qi obstruction, and unclear hearing and vision, select Tianyou. Shen Chengzhi stated: Between the large tendons on both sides of the nape belongs to the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian; outside the large tendons belongs to the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian; anterior to the large tendons and behind the ear belongs to the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian). Furthermore, it is associated with the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian (Shǒu Yángmíng Dàcháng Jīng, Hand Yangming Large Intestine Channel) and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: The sinews of the Hand-Yangming meridian, the straight ones, go from the shoulder over the neck. Their pathology involves inability to raise the shoulder and inability to turn the head left or right. It also states: The divergent vessel of the Foot-Yangming meridian runs along the outer edge of the tibia and ascends to connect the head and nape. It also states: When the Foot-Yangming meridian moves abnormally, it causes toothache and neck swelling. Li Dongyuan stated: Scrofula encircling the neck or extending to the angle of the jaw below the ear originates from the Stomach meridian, treated with Shengyang Tiaojing Tang). Furthermore, it is associated with the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian (Shǒu Tàiyáng Xiǎocháng Jīng, Hand Taiyang Small Intestine Channel) (*Ling Shu* states: The branch of the Hand-Taiyang meridian, from the clavicular fossa, follows the neck up to the cheek. Diseases generated include cheek swelling and head/neck pain. It also states: For neck pain preventing flexion and extension, needle the Foot-Taiyang meridian; for inability to look back, needle the Hand-Taiyang meridian. It also states: The sinews of the Hand-Shaoyang meridian ascend to the shoulder and travel to the neck, merging with the Hand-Taiyang meridian. Pathology occurring at the sites passed through results in muscle cramps). Furthermore, it is associated with the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: The regular pathway of the Foot-Shaoyin meridian, the straight part, connects to the root of the tongue, re-emerges at the nape, and merges with the Taiyang meridian. Wang Kentang stated: Many people suffer from stiff neck and inability to move due to sprains or prolonged sitting with improper pillow support. This is caused by Kidney deficiency failing to generate Liver wood, and Liver blood deficiency failing to nourish the sinews, leading to dysfunction of the joints. It is treated with Liuwei Wan).
