(The large protruding mass on the upper neck, corresponding to the distribution of Bailao (Bailao, EX-15) acupoint, also known as Tianzhu Bone. The character " " is identical to "Zhui" (Vertebra).) This area is the intersection of the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian and the Du Vessel.)
The *Ling Shu* states: "Below Tianyou, the meridian belongs to the Foot-Taiyang, named Tianzhu. In cases of sudden spasm, epilepsy, dizziness, and inability of the feet to support the body, select Tianzhu." The *Su Wen* states: "In Jue headache, where the neck hurts first and flexion/extension is impossible, with corresponding pain in the waist and spine, first select Tianzhu, then select points on the Foot-Taiyang." This area also concurrently belongs to the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: "The straight branch of the Foot-Shaoyin meridian emerges from the neck and joins the Taiyang." The *Mai Jing* commentary states: "When Kidney Qi is exhausted, the Tianzhu bone collapses.")
(Located below the laryngeal prominence, within the depression of the transverse bone.) This area belongs to the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: "The sinews of the Hand-Taiyin emerge from the axilla into the Supraclavicular Fossa, knot at the anterior shoulder above, then knot at the Supraclavicular Fossa, and descend to knot within the chest. If disease develops into Xifen [accumulation in the left hypochondrium], with tightness in the costal region and hemoptysis. It also states: 'When the Hand-Taiyin undergoes change, the disease manifests as pain in the Supraclavicular Fossa'.) This area is also the intersection of the Yin Wei Vessel and the Ren Vessel (*Ling Shu* states: "In the center of the Supraclavicular Fossa lies the Ren Vessel, named Tiantu." The *Mingtang Jing* states: "There is one point, Tiantu, located below the laryngeal prominence, in the central depression. This is the intersection of the Yin Wei Vessel and the Ren Vessel. It primarily treats cough with qi rebellion, lung abscess, heat sores in the throat and mouth, and difficulty swallowing food.") This area also concurrently belongs to the Hand-Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: "The meridian of the Hand-Yangming emerges from the intersection of the cervical vertebrae, descends into the Supraclavicular Fossa, connects with the Lung, passes through the diaphragm, and enters the Large Intestine. Its branch ascends from the Supraclavicular Fossa to the neck. It also states: 'The meridian of the Foot-Yangming follows the throat and enters the Supraclavicular Fossa.' It also states: 'The sinews of the Foot-Yangming ascend and distribute over the abdomen, knotting at the Supraclavicular Fossa. If diseased, abdominal sinew tightness pulls the Supraclavicular Fossa and cheek.'") This area also concurrently belongs to the Hand-Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian and the Foot-Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: "The meridian of the Hand-Shaoyang ascends the shoulder, crosses behind the Foot-Shaoyang, enters the Supraclavicular Fossa, and spreads in the Tanzhong region. Its branch ascends from Tanzhong out of the Supraclavicular Fossa. It also states: 'The meridian of the Foot-Shaoyang follows the neck, running anterior to the Hand-Shaoyang, reaches the shoulder, turns back to cross behind the Hand-Shaoyang, and enters the Supraclavicular Fossa. Diseases generated include swelling and pain in the Supraclavicular Fossa.'") This area also concurrently belongs to the Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian and the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian (*Ling Shu* states: "The meridian of the Hand-Taiyang intersects the shoulder and enters the Supraclavicular Fossa.
