Treatment for pediatric tinea capitis (bald ringworm).
Pine resin (ground into fine powder): Cut a piece of blue cloth strip longer than one chi, wrap it around the pine resin. Tie the strip tightly with thread, dip it in sesame oil, and ignite it to burn vigorously. Catch the dripping oil in a bowl.
Apply the oil to the lesion.
Purple sugarcane bark (charred to ash while retaining its medicinal properties): Grind into powder. Add a small amount of verdigris (copper acetate) and a pinch of white sugar. Mix with ground oil and apply topically for immediate effect.
Almond (3 qian), scallion-processed pine resin (2 liang), calomel (1 qian), castor bean kernel (5 qian), verdigris (2 qian).
Pound into a paste, spread on blue cloth, and apply as a patch.
Another prescription:
Use a processed copper ladle or pot, grind the material into an extremely fine powder. Mix with rapeseed oil and apply topically for cure.
This condition arises from exposure to heated water and damp-heat from roof leakage. Severe cases present with chills and fever, and loss of appetite.
Smoke the affected area with smoke from burning green pine heads. A large amount of fluid will exude from the fingers, causing them to become dry and shriveled immediately. If smoked three times, it will never recur.
Treatment for erysipelas (huo dan, a skin infection characterized by redness and heat).
Fresh biota leaves and wawa (moss/plants growing on tiles): Pound together until mashed. Mix with rhubarb powder evenly. Apply mixed with vinegar for cure.
For cases where the face is covered with frequent pus and blood, accompanied by unbearable itching.
Calamine (2 qian, calcined with fire and quenched three times in coptis chinensis juice), calomel (1 qian), calcined gypsum (2 qian), gongfen (refined lead oxide/cosmetic powder, 7 fen), borneol (1 fen).
Rhubarb powder and pangolin scale powder. Mix with juice extracted from momordica charantia seed (momordica grosvenori seed/mumuzi) and apply topically.

First, use bian stone (stone lancet) to puncture and evacuate bad blood. Then, mix equal parts of stir-fried black gardenia, rhubarb, and realgar into powder. Mix with water and apply topically. Alternatively, mix realgar powder with egg white and apply.
Use fulonggan (dragon's house liver, i.e., hearth soil from the center of the stove). Grind with water into a slurry and apply. After a short while, when the moisture dries, the medicine becomes moist again; this indicates the toxic fluid from the blisters is being drawn out.
Extraction complete.
For all initial swellings, toxins, and malignant sores, immediately use garlic (peeled), cut into slices about two qian thick. Place on the head of the carbuncle. Make a hole in the center. Use a moxa cone the size of a date pit for moxibustion... [Text fragmentary]
