The *Ben Shi Fang* discusses: "Accumulated qi from fright and worry, wind pathogen invading the Heart, upon onset causes jaw stiffness, flooding of saliva leading to stupor and obstruction; upon waking, spirit appears dull as if foolish, commonly referred to as 'Qi' [text incomplete]."
Mi Rong (Deer Antler Velvet from Sika Deer, *Cervi Elaphi Velutum Cornu*) 1 liang (processed like Lu Rong); Tu Si Zi (Dodder Seed, *Cuscutae Semen*) 1 liang (freshly taken and ground into powder); Bo Hui Xiang (Fennel, *Foeniculi Fructus*) 5 qian. The above are ground into fine powder. Use four Sheep Kidneys, boiled thoroughly in wine, remove the membrane, grind into a paste, mix with the powder to form pills the size of mustard seeds. Dry in shade until resembling kidney paste; add a little wine paste to aid pill formation. For Shao Yin Cold-Dampness Lower Back Pain, not using Jiang (Ginger), Gui (Cinnamon Twig), Zhu (Atractylodes), or Fu Zi (Prepared Aconite Root), but using Mi Rong and Sheep Kidney, sufficiently demonstrates Scholar Xu’s profound intent, being skilled at protecting Yang Qi.

The above are cut into pieces. Take 4 qian per dose, add two zhan of water, decoct to eight fen. Remove dregs and take warm.
Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction): "Wu" implies similarity. These four substances are similar in nature, yet each retains its own character and performs its own function, operating in parallel without conflict. Xiong Qiong and Dang Gui enter the Shaoyang channel and govern ascending movement; Shao Yao... [Text ends abruptly].
