Baitouweng (Pulsatilla Root) 2 liang, Qinpi (Ailanthus Bark) 3 liang, Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) 3 liang, Huangbai (Phellodendron Bark) 3 liang.
Take the above four ingredients, add seven sheng of water, decoct until two sheng remain, remove the dregs, and take one sheng warm per dose.
Baitouweng Tang (Pulsatilla Decoction) treats heat-type dysentery with tenesmus in Jueyin disease. Diarrhea in Taiyin and Shaoyin belongs to cold patterns; only diarrhea in Jueyin is primarily due to heat, because Jueyin governs Xianghuo (Ministerial Fire).
Wenge (Clam Shell) 5 liang.
Take the above single ingredient, grind into a powder, mix one qianbi of powder with five he of boiling water, and take orally.
The clam is born from the rigid qi of Tianyi (Heavenly One), thus it can achieve efficacy when used alone. Its flavor is salty and nature is dry; its salty-cold property is sufficient to overcome heat, and its cold-dry property is sufficient to leach out dampness. (This section mentions Daxiexiong Tang, but the text appears fragmented).
Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) 2 liang, Huanglian (Coptis Rhizome) 1 liang.
Take the above two ingredients, soak them in Ersheng of Mafeitang (boiling water) for a moment, then wring out the liquid and remove the dregs, divide into two doses, and take warm.
Pi (Glomus/Fullness) syndrome may arise without being caused by improper purgation. If Junhuo (Heart Fire) is hyperactive and cannot descend to interact with Yin, forming Pi, if palpation reveals softness without solid mass, it is not a Pi of tangible pathogen. Using bitter-cold herbs alone... (text fragment implies risk of damaging healthy Qi).
Yinchenhao (Artemisia Capillaris Herb) 6 liang, Zhizi (Gardenia Fruit) 14 pieces (broken open), Dahuang (Rhubarb Root) 2 liang (peeled).
Take the above three ingredients, add one dou of water, first decoct Yinchenhao until six sheng are reduced, then add the other two ingredients, decoct until three sheng remain, remove the dregs, divide into three doses, and take warm.
Yinchenhao disperses dampness from the muscle surface; combined with Dahuang, it also drains stagnant heat in the Middle Jiao. Zhizi drives out dampness from the muscle texture; combined with Dahuang, it also drains stagnant heat in the Upper Jiao.
Zhufu (Swine Skin) 1 jin (use skin with white fat removed, internal fat scraped off until thin as paper).
Take the above single ingredient, add one dou of water, decoct until five sheng remain, remove the dregs, add one sheng of White Honey (Baimi) and five he of White Powder (Baifen, likely rice flour), cook until fragrant and mixed well, divide into six doses, and take warm.
The Kidney corresponds to the pig (Zhi), and the Lung governs the skin/hair. When Kidney fluids leak downward and fail to steam upward to nourish the Lung, causing dryness in the collaterals and resulting in sore throat, this is no longer treatable by Gancao (Licorice Root) alone; one should...
