In recent years, epidemic diseases have caused sores on the head, face, and body, spreading rapidly, resembling fire blisters, filled with white fluid, rupturing and regenerating. Untreated severe cases often die. Post-recovery scars remain purple-black for a year. This is Evil Toxic Qi. People say in the Yonghui era (4th year), this sore flowed from west to east across the seas. Boiling Malva vegetables and eating with garlic relieves it.

If advanced, check underside of tongue for white veins. Cut with reed knife to release purple blood; stops bleeding. Requires skilled cutting to avoid injuring blue veins under tongue causing fatal hemorrhage. Alternatively, burn iron wire to cauterize veins.
