Cold damage during pregnancy occurs in winter, caused by cold pathogen invasion. In mild cases, symptoms include slight aversion to cold (Xixi Ehan), mild fever (Xixi Fare), slight cough, and nasal congestion; recovery occurs within a few days without medication. Alternatively, using three to five stalks of scallion white (with roots) and three slices of fresh ginger, decocted and taken orally, resolves the condition. If the cold pathogen is severe, leading to headache, initial aversion to cold followed by fever, prolonged illness will inevitably damage the fetus. Medication requires caution; one must not treat pregnant women indiscriminately as ordinary patients, nor use diaphoretic agents recklessly which could harm the fetus and endanger both mother and child. Simply taking Congbai Xiangchi Tang (Scallion White and Fermented Soybean Decoction) allows for self-healing. Thus, *Qianjin Fang* treats pregnant women with cold damage using scallion white and fresh ginger decocted in water, taken hot to induce sweating for relief. Therefore, Congbai Xiangchi Tang and Xiangsu San can resolve exterior pathogens while stabilizing the fetus. Moreover, scallion white not only resolves the exterior but also effectively secures a living fetus and expels a dead fetus. If a pregnant woman exposed to cold has a damaged but viable fetus, boiling and eating a handful of scallions induces sweating and safety. If the fetus is already dead, it will be expelled spontaneously shortly thereafter. If expulsion does not occur, add fresh ginger and Perilla Leaf (Ziye); do not lightly use exterior-releasing drugs to invite blame. If the pathogen is at the half-exterior half-interior level during pregnancy, select Huanglong Tang from *Bencao Gangmu*, which is a variation of Xiaochaihu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction); its modifications may also be adopted. If exterior symptoms have resolved but fever and intense thirst persist, use Xiangsu San plus Jinhua Tang. For constipation, add Rhubarb (Dahuang), or use Sanhuang Jiedu Tang (Three Yellows Detoxification Decoction). Hence, for any epidemic conditions during pregnancy, similar to Yangming Fu syndrome in cold damage characterized by internal excess and constipation, urgent purgation of stool is necessary to avoid fetal injury. If spontaneous diarrhea occurs, it indicates leakage of righteous qi, making fetal preservation difficult. Only when urination and defecation are normal, indicating no interior heat, is the fetal qi unharmed. Thus, there is also the method of applying paste to the navel to protect the fetus. Treatment via sweating or purging follows the exterior-interior pulse and symptom patterns. Regarding febrile diseases in pregnancy, urgent treatment is required to prevent miscarriage. *Qianjin Fang* uses Congbai Xiangchi Tang to induce sweating for cure. Other formulas include Chaige Antai Yin (Bupleurum and Kudzu Fetus-Stabilizing Decoction). For vomiting and irritability, Shengjin Gegen Tang (Fluid-Generating Kudzu Decoction) is used. In severe cases with blackish macules, Zhizi Congchi Tang (Gardenia and Scallion-Soybean Decoction) is applied; Muzhai uses Jiawei Huaban Tang (Modified Macule-Resolving Decoction). These are all formulas for heat entering the interior, belonging to Yangming syndrome. *Yitong* treats pregnant women with warm-heat epidemics and cold damage pathogens invading internally, where heat toxicity threatens the fetus; Qianjin Shigao Daqing Tang (Thousand Gold Gypsum and Lithospermum Decoction) should be used urgently for rescue to ensure survival; delay renders it incurable. Also listed are Shigao Liuhe Tang (Gypsum Six-Harmony Decoction) and Shengma Liuhe Tang (Cimicifuga Six-Harmony Decoction), which are stable prescriptions, recorded below for reference. Within pregnancy medications, if Rhubarb (Dahuang) must be used for purgation, it should be wine-processed. Ginger, Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), and Aconite Root (Fuzi) processed with Coptis Rhizome (Huanglian) and Licorice Root (Gancao) become harmless.
Congbai Xiangchi Tang: From *Qianjin Fang*, treating epidemic cold damage within three days, severe headache, and early-stage warm disease with chills and fever.
Scallion White (one handful with roots), Fermented Soybean (Sanhe).
Decoct these two ingredients in water, add one he of infant urine, take three times daily. Add two taels of fresh ginger in autumn and winter. Although this formula contains light herbs, its efficacy is remarkable. It is effective for deficient individuals with wind-heat, latent qi transforming into warmth, and postpartum colds, comparable to the efficacy of Fulonggan Tang/Pills after childbirth or dysentery. It aids in determining prognosis and avoids controversy, serving as an excellent remedy for critical conditions.
Zunsheng Xiangsu San: Treats pregnant women with cold damage, regardless of duration, indicated by aversion to cold and headache.
Cyperi Rhizoma (Xiangfu, stir-fried until black), Perilla Leaf (Zisu, 2 qian each), Tangerine Peel (Chenpi, 1 qian), Licorice Root (Gancao, 5 fen).

Add three slices of fresh ginger and five cun of scallion white; decoct and take. For headache, add Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong) and Angelica Dahurica Root (Baizhi, 1 qian each), named Xiongzi Xiangsu Yin.
If aversion to cold with harmonious interior presents with blue complexion, anger, and floating-wiry liver pulse, add Notopterygium Root (Qianghuo) and Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, 1 qian each). If aversion to cold with harmonious interior presents with red complexion, dry mouth, laughter, and floating-hyperactive heart pulse, add Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) and Gypsum (Shigao, 1.5 qian each). If aversion to cold with harmonious interior presents with yellow complexion, belching, and floating-spleen pulse, add Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu) and Stephania Tetrandra Stem (Fangji, 1.5 qian each). If aversion to cold with harmonious interior presents with white complexion, sneezing/sorrow, and floating-rough lung pulse, add Scutellaria Root (Huangqin) and Saposhnikovia Root (Fangfeng, 1 qian each). If aversion to cold with harmonious interior presents with black complexion, fear, and floating-soft kidney pulse, add Evodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu, 1 qian).
Huanglong Tang: Treats pregnancy cold damage occurring 3-5 days later, presenting with chills and fever, internal irritability/thirst, and dark/scanty urination. This indicates pathogen at half-exterior half-interior.

Use fresh ginger and jujube as guides; decoct and take. For alternating chills/fever, no sweat, dry mouth, add Kudzu Root (Gegen, 2 qian), remove jujube, add three scallion whites. For persistent headache, add Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong) and Angelica Dahurica Root (Baizhi, 1 qian each), remove jujube, add three scallion whites. For fever, sweating, thirst, add earth-fried Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu, 1.5 qian) and Trichosanthes Root (Gualougen, 1.5 qian). For floating-large-forceful pulse, high fever, intense thirst, use Renshen Baihu Tang removing ginger and jujube.
