After conception, if menstrual blood drips intermittently, it is called *Lou Tai* (Leaking Fetus). This is generally due to Qi and Blood deficiency caused by overexertion, or induced by anger, or by consuming roasted and hot foods. It is suitable to take *Buzhong Antai Yin* (Supplement the Middle and Stabilize the Fetus Decoction).
*Buzhong Antai Yin* (Supplement the Middle and Stabilize the Fetus Decoction)
Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (each 3 qian), Shudi (Rehmanniae Radix Preparata) (3 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (1.5 qian), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (1 qian), Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.5 qian), Sugeng (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae Cum Mesocarpo) (0.8 fen).
If fetal movement is disturbed by falls or blows during pregnancy, resulting in continuous vaginal bleeding, one should urgently take *Antai Renshen Suye Yin* (Stabilize Fetus with Ginseng and Perilla Leaf Decoction).
*Antai Renshen Suye Yin* (Stabilize Fetus with Ginseng and Perilla Leaf Decoction)
Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Qiai (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Chuanxiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 0.3 qian), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (1 qian), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Sheng Baizhu (Raw Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (each 2 qian), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Zisu (Perillae Folium), Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (each 0.4 qian), Ejiao (Asini Corii Colla) (1 qian).
If there are external contraction symptoms, add Congbai (Allii Fistulosi Bulbus) four cun. If there is abdominal pain, reduce the amount of Qiai and add Renchen (Amomi Fructus Rotundus) 0.4 fen.
If blood appears in the urine during pregnancy, it is caused by physical overexertion or excessive consumption of roasted and hot foods. It is suitable to clear the Fire of the Bladder by taking *Jiawei Xiaoyao San* (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder).

Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma) (each 2 qian), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix), Baishao (Paeoniae Radix Alba) (each 1 qian), Danpi (Moutan Cortex), Fuling (Poria), Zhizi (Gardeniae Fructus) (each 0.7 fen), Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (0.8 fen), Dengxincao (Junci Medulla) (7 stems).
If there is dribbling urination during pregnancy, this is due to improper care, excessive alcohol and sexual activity, which damage Ying and Wei (Nutritive and Defensive Qi), leading to Qi deficiency of the uterus. Alternatively, it may be caused by Heat in the Lower Jiao blocking the urinary pathway, a condition named *Zi Lin* (Fetal Strangury). It is suitable to take *Anrong San* (Nourishing and Stabilizing Powder).
*Anrong San* (Nourishing and Stabilizing Powder)
Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (5 qian), Huashi (Talcum) (1 liang), Tongcao (Tetrapanacis Medulla), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (3 qian), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix) (1 liang), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma) (1 qian), Zhi Gancao (Prepared Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), Dengxincao (Junci Medulla) (each 5 qian).
Grind all ingredients into fine powder. Take 4 qian per dose, washed down with warm water. Another prescription uses Sangpiaoxiao (Mantis Ootheca) ground into powder; take 2 qian per dose, washed down with rice soup on an empty stomach. Another method is to consume thick decoction made from aged rice.
These prescriptions can also treat *Long Bi* (Urinary Retention/Dysuria) in men.
Note: This syndrome is mostly caused by unrestricted diet leading to Heat accumulation in the Bladder. Tang used the ancient Xionggui Tang (Chuanxiong and Danggui Decoction), adding Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), Maidong (Ophiopogonis Radix), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma), Dengxincao (Junci Medulla), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), and Huashi (Talcum) to treat it. If cooling and promoting diuresis medications are ineffective, immediately use *Buzhong Yiqi Tang* (Decoction for Supplementing the Middle and Boosting Qi), adding 2 qian of Jing Cheqian (Plantaginis Semen). By lifting the Middle Qi, the lower orifices naturally open; moreover, Cheqian promotes diuresis and unblocks strangury. The combination of lifting and descending naturally yields results. See *Buzhong Yiqi Tang* under the entry for *Zi Man*.
