This condition must first originate from a water-related leprosy (Shui Lai), causing pathogenic factors to linger in the body, and then be triggered by wind-dampness. It may manifest as chancre erosion on the penis, or lumps arising on both sides of the scrotum, leading to swelling of the legs and waist. The shape resembles transverse growths, with alternating chills and fever, severe distending pain making movement difficult, and gradual enlargement of the upper and lower body. Once ulcerated, it becomes sores, causing widespread rotting of the body. Within a year, eyebrows and hair fall out; the condition is severe and difficult to treat.
This condition occurs after the resolution of water leprosy, where residual toxins remain in the Kidney, leading to the generation of parasites/worms. The toxin spreads throughout the body, producing five-colored spots. Similar to麻癞 (Ma Lai, Leprosy-like disease), eyebrows and hair fall out, the penis becomes sore and putrid, the scrotum may be damaged, or the penis may be eaten away until dry. Skin and flesh flow with pus, gradually rotting away. Mild cases present as chancre (Xia Gan) or fish-mouth sores; over time, lips and nose are completely destroyed, with putrid and foul odor similar to Guang Chuang (Guang Sores).
This condition involves evil toxins entering the Kidney, transforming into malignant worms that devour essence and marrow, leaving the lower part empty and beyond salvation. If lumps resembling plums, nectarines, peaches, or plum blossoms appear in the chest, hypochondrium, ribs, legs, buttocks, or thighs, which are soft blisters that rupture, rot, and smell foul, they are difficult to treat. Alternatively, it may resemble fistulas, or present as urticaria that is red or black, with stubborn numbness in hands and feet where acupuncture needles are not felt, inability to walk, or making sounds when opening the mouth during eating. Elbows may feel bound like ropes, perforations may rot and flow with pus, sticking and generating corrupt sores. There may be internal itching in the skin, aversion to wind-dampness, or a rustling sour sound in the bones during daily activities. In all these cases, substantial tonification of Qi and Blood is required.
The terms "Jiu" (Wine) and "Ma" refer to leprosy of the Stomach.
This condition arises when, during drinking and sexual activity, sweat is produced and the body becomes deficient, allowing wind pathogens to enter the Stomach Fu organ. Sores appear all over the body, large as coins and small as beans, neither red nor white, but grayish-yellow and deformed, with sticky accumulated pus. Even those who do not drink may suffer this if they are constitutionally affected by cold-damp-wind pathogens, smell wine slightly, sweat, and are exposed to wind. Those with rigid, irritable temperaments or excessive sexual desire are prone to this condition. Over time, eyebrows and hair fall out, causing fear and anxiety; it is uniquely difficult to treat.
This condition follows wine leprosy, where toxins remain in the Stomach Fu organ, generating toxic sores resembling tinea and scabies, with unbearable itching. Hands and feet palms and dorsum become stubbornly numb and insensitive, with varying black and white colors, resembling the shape of goose webbing (Yan Lai E Zhang Feng) or cow-hide blood tinea. It alternates between pain and numbness. Worms erode the Spleen and Stomach, or internal hemorrhoids develop. The head becomes hard and fragmented [text unclear], affecting the whole body. Touching causes severe pain and cold sweats, leading to cessation of breath within one or two hours.
