Phlegm obstructing the throat causing discomfort, leukorrhea of green or yellow color, abdominal and hypochondriac distension. After using qi-moving agents, chest and diaphragm discomfort worsened, and limbs felt numb. This is due to depression and anger injuring the Liver and Spleen. In the morning, Guipi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction) is used to resolve Spleen depression and generate Spleen Qi; in the evening, Jiawei Xiaoyao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) is used to nourish Liver Blood and clear Liver Fire. After taking more than a hundred doses, the patient recovered.
A woman with chronic malaria complicated by leukorrhea presented with fever, dry mouth, and fatigue. Seven-Ingredient White Atractylodes Macrocephala Decoction (Qiwei Baizhu San) was modified with Ophiopogon Radix (Mendong) and Schisandra Fruit (Wuweizi), decocted in large quantities for her to drink freely. Symptoms subsided slightly upon recurrence. Then, Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) was modified with Poria (Fuling) and Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia). After more than ten doses, she recovered.
A woman suffered from dizziness and vomiting of phlegm, chest fullness, and asthma, which relieved slightly after eating, but had been troubled by leukorrhea for over twenty years without response to various medicines. This is deficiency of Qi leading to retention of fluid-phlegm; once the fluid-phlegm is resolved, the leukorrhea will heal spontaneously. Thus, Liujunzi Tang (Six-Gentlemen Decoction) was administered in the morning, and Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia) in the evening. Effect was seen within less than a month.
A woman presented with tinnitus, chest stuffiness, internal heat, dry mouth, a sensation of a lump in the throat with difficulty in swallowing, irregular menstruation, and leukorrhea. I diagnosed it as stagnation and knotting of the Liver and Spleen. Guipi Tang (Restore the Spleen Decoction) was modified with Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia), Gardenia Fruit (Shanzhi), Cimicifuga Rhizome (Shengma), and Bupleurum Root (Chaihu). Intermittently, Six-Ingredient Decoction for Four Stagnations (Siqi Tang) was used to administer Baiwanzi (White Pellet). She recovered.
A woman presented with acid regurgitation, fullness, poor appetite, loose stools, and irregular menstruation. After taking Qingqi Huatan Wan (Clear Qi and Resolve Phlegm Pill), her knees gradually swelled, chills and fever alternated, leukorrhea was yellow and white, complexion was sallow, and body fatigued. This is deficiency of both Spleen and Stomach with downward pouring of damp-phlegm. Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) was used with increased doses of Ginseng Radix (Renshen) and Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome (Baizhu), plus Poria (Fuling), Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia), and Prepared Ginger (Paojiang). She recovered after more than ten doses.
A woman with leukorrhea complained of weakness in the four limbs. I said: The four limbs correspond to Earth (Spleen/Stomach). This is deficiency of Spleen and Stomach with downward pouring of damp-phlegm. It was treated with Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) and Jisheng Guipi Tang (Jisheng Restore the Spleen Decoction), and she recovered.
A woman with yellow-white leukorrhea experienced chest discomfort when angry and reduced desire for food. Someone used digestive and qi-moving drugs, leading to phlegm-wheezing, chest fullness, and bloody stool. I said: This is due to Spleen Qi deficiency failing to control blood and return it to its source. Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Tonify the Middle and Augment the Qi Decoction) was modified with Poria (Fuling), Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia), and Prepared Ginger (Paojiang). Symptoms decreased drastically after four doses. Then, Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction) was modified with Bupleurum Root (Chaihu) and Gardenia Fruit (Shanzhi). She recovered.

Guzhen Wan (Solidify Truth Pill): Treats persistent leukorrhea, cold pain in umbilicus and abdomen (cold as ice), internal heat rising to eyes causing blurred vision, teeth pain sensitive to hot drinks (relieved by applying Coptis powder), preference for dry food, aversion to liquid drinks. This disease is caused by cold-damp invading the uterus, hence preferring dryness and avoiding dampness. Yin fire of Liver channel overflowing upwards causes eye symptoms. Kidney water invading Liver causes upward overflow and blurred vision. Teeth sensitivity indicates latent fire in Shaoyang and Yangming channels. One must strongly drain cold-damp using pills. Cold in lower jiao requires slow treatment; decoctions are contraindicated. Wine-processed Baishizhi and Bailonggu dry dampness. Paojiang (Prepared Ginger) drains cold water with acrid-hot nature. Huangbo (Phellodendron Bark) uses bitter-cold nature as auxiliary guide. Chaihu (Bupleurum Root) guides the action; Shaoyao (Peony Root) directs it. Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root) harmonizes blood vessels.

[Shan]: Treats red and white leukorrhea. Old lotus seedpod powder with musk, taken with rice drink on empty stomach.
[Cooling Agents]
Lower abdominal hot pain is Re Jia (Heat Mass). Treat with Liu Hejian's method.
[Bao]: Red leukorrhea indicates heat entering Small Intestine; white indicates heat entering Large Intestine. Fundamentally, damp-heat knots in vessels, causing fluid overflow, resulting in red/white leukorrhea. Due to deficiency of five vessel pulses, heat stagnates in Dai Mai (Girdle Vessel), causing lower abdominal pain and continuous discharge. Ren Mai disease causes seven hernias in men and leukorrhea/masses in women. Dai Mai originates at Zhangmen, encircling like a belt. Damp-heat knotting causes disease. Spleen transmitting to Kidney is called Shan Xia; Small Intestine knotting causes white discharge, also called Gu. First use Shizao Tang (Ten Date Decoction) to purge, then Kulan Wan (Toona Pill) and Dayanhù San (Major Corydalis Powder) to regulate. Heat removed, dampness eliminated, disease heals.
Kulan Wan (Toona Pill): Treats red and white leukorrhea.
Ingredients: Kulán (Toona Sinensis), Xiang (Agarwood/Aromatic herb - context implies aromatic), Danggui (Angelica Sinensis Root).
Grind into powder. Make pills with wine paste. Take 30-50 pills with warm wine on empty stomach. For waist/leg pain, take with Siwu Tang (Four-Substance Decoction) modified with Qianghuo and Fangfeng.
